ORdered, That Sir Hugh Owen be referred to the Committee of absent Members, to examine and report the Cause of his Absence; with the Addition of Mr. Robinson, Mr. Blackiston, Mr. Recorder, Sir Edmund Fowell, Sir John Hippisley, Mr. Wheeler, Mr. Walter Long.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Lords, That a Pass be granted for the transporting Six Horses into Holland for the young Prince of Orange, Custom and Import free; provided they be all transported at one Place, and one Time.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree with the Lords; That the Lord Lomney Count de Brienne, First Secretary of State to the French King, shall have a Pass to transport Ten Horses into France from any Port within the Parliament's Quarters, Custom and Impost free; provided that they be all transported at one Port, and at one Time.

An Ordinance for levying and bringing in all Monies and Arrearages of Rents, payable in to the Receipt of the late Court of Wards before the Twenty-fourth of February last, was this Day read the First and Second time; and, upon the Question, committed unto Mr. Selden, Mr. Sollicitor, Mr. Whitelock, Mr. Recorder, Mr. Ball, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Maynard, Mr. Grimston, Mr. Long, Mr. Lislebon Long, Sir Walter Erle, Mr. Bacons ambo, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Thomson, Mr. Corbett, Sir Tho. Wroth, Mr. Westrow, Mr. Pury, Mr. Douse, Sir Michael Livesey, Mr. Ashhurst, Sir Tho. Widdrington, Mr. Morley, Mr. John Goodwyn, Mr. * Stevens, Mr. Holles, Mr. Swinsen, Mr. Hayes, Sir John Evelyn of Surrey, Mr. White, Sir Harbotle Grimston: And are to meet upon it To-morrow in the Afternoon, in the Court of Wards: And that all that will come, shall have Voices.

Sir Thomas Wroth went to the Lords, to desire a free Conference, concerning the Matter of the last Conference, touching the Words spoken by Sir John Evelyn; and concerning the Vote for the Disposing of the Person of the King to such a Place within this Kingdom, as both Houses of Parliament shall appoint; and concerning the Commitment of Captain Maisie, by Order of the Lords.

Ordered, &c. That, upon every Tuesday and Thursday Morning, weekly, the Reports from the Committee of Goldsmiths-Hall be made, from the first Sitting of the House, until Ten of the Clock: And that no Motion be made, on either of these Days, for any Business whatsoever, until after Ten of the Clock: And that the House do proceed in the Hearing of such Reports on Tuesday Morning next.

Ordered, That Fifty Barrels of Powder be forthwith provided and furnished, out of the publick Stores, for the Service of the County of Dorset: And that it be specially recommended to the Committee for Powder, Match, and Bullet, to provide the said Fifty Barrels of Powder for this Service: And that the said Powder be disposed of in such manner as the Committee of the West shall appoint.

A Copy of an Order of the Lords House, of Saturday 16 Maii 1646, concerning the Commitment of Captain Maissey, was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords be acquainted, at the Conference now desired, with the Matter of Fact, as it depends in this House, concerning Captain Maissey, committed by the Lords: And that they be desired, That he may be discharged, to be examined by the Committee of this House, appointed to that Purpose.

Ordered, That the Propositions for a safe and wellgrounded Peace be proceeded in, the first Business, Tomorrow Morning; and so de die in diem, until they be determined.

Sir Thomas Wroth brings Answer from the Lords, That they will send Answer; by Messengers of their own, to the several Messages touching the free Conference, this Day desired.
