Prayers.

THE Grand Committee of the House, according to former Order, sat, to take into Consideration the Business of Keeping of scandalous Persons from the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper.

A Message from the Lords, by Doctor Aylett and Doctor Heath;

The Lords have commanded us to bring this Order: It is for the Renewing of a Commission to Mr. Annesley, Sir Robert King, and Mr. Beale, for Six Months: To which they desire your Concurrence. They have sent you this Letter from his Majesty; and these Papers concerning Ireland, and the Lord Herbert: They came to them from the Committee of both Kingdoms; and they commanded us to leave them with you.

The Order for renewing the Commission for Mr. Annesly, Sir Robert King, and Mr. Beale, for Six Months was read; and was in hæc verba; viz.

Ordered, by the Lords and Commons, assembled in Parliament, That the Commission formerly granted to Arthur Annesly Esquire, Sir Robert King Knight, and Wm. Beale, lately expired, shall be renewed for Six Months, succeeding the Date: And the Commissioners of the Great Seal are hereby authorized and required to issue out a Commission, accordingly.

A Letter from Sir Thomas Glemham, from Oxford, of 15 Januarii 1645, directed to the Speaker of the House of Peers pro tempore, was read.

In the said Letter, a Letter from his Majesty, from Oxford, of the same Date, directed for the Speaker of the House of Peers pro tempore, to be communicated to the Two Houses of Parliament at Westminister, and to the Commissioners of the Parliament of Scotland, was inclosed: Which was read.

The Papers reported, from the Committee of both Kingdoms, concerning Ireland, and the Lord Herbert, were, A Copy of a Letter, in Cypher, sent from Mr. Annesley, Sir Robert King, and Mr. Beale, to Mr. Pierpoint, and dated at Belfast, the Nineteenth of November 1645; a Copy of another Letter from Sir Robert King to Mr. Pierpoint, of 26 Novembris 1645, from Belfast; the Copy of the Articles of the Peace agreed on by the Commissioners for the Catholicks in Ireland, and one commissionated from his Majesty, stiled Earl of Glamorgan, on the Behalf of his Majesty; a Copy of farther Articles agreed on between the said Catholicks Commissioners, and the said Person stiled Earl of Glamorgan, both of them signed the Twenty-fifth of August 1645; and also a Copy of an Oath of the said Earl of Glamorgan, taken the Third of September 1645, for communicating the said Agreements and Articles to his Majesty: All which were found in the Archbishop of Tuam's Carriage in Ireland; and were all of them read.

Ordered, That these Papers be forthwith printed; and Observations made upon them.

Ordered, That the Letters and Papers of the Lord Digbie's, taken at the Fight near Sherborne in Yorkshire, be forthwith printed; and Observations made upon them.

Ordered, That the Lords be desired, by a Message, that the Letters and Papers of the Lord Digbie's, taken at the Fight near Shereborne in Yorkshire, and now remaining with their Lordships, may be forthwith delivered over, and transmitted to the Members of both Houses that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms.

Ordered, That these Papers and Letters concerning Ireland be forthwith printed.

Resolved, &c. That One Lord, and Two Commoners, shall be sent from the Parliament of England to the States of the United Provinces of the Netherlands.

Resolved, &c. That Sir Henry Vane the elder shall be one of the Members of this House that shall go to the States of the United Provinces of the Netherlands from the Parliament.

Resolved, &c. That Walter Strickland Esquire shall be the other Member of this House that shall go to the States of the United Provinces of the Netherlands from the Parliament.

Resolved, &c. That the Lord Roberts shall be the Lord that shall go to the State of the United Provinces of the Netherlands from the Parliament: And that an Ordinance be brought in, accordingly, by Sir Thomas Widdrington To-morrow Morning.
