Prayers.

ACcording to former Order, the Grand Committee of the whole House sat, to take into Consideration the Matter of Propositions.

According to the Order Yesterday made, Sir John Evelyn went up to the Lords with the Message Yesterday appointed.

He likewise carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Order for continuing Lieutenant-General Cromwell in his Command for Four Months longer, to commence upon the Expiration of his last Power: The Ordinance for One thousand Pounds, out of the Excise, for Nottingham Foot: The Ordinance for Three thousand Pounds odd Monies for divers Waggoners: The Ordinance for settling Sir John Wyntour's Iron-Mills upon Colonel Edw. Massie: The Votes for making Mr. Bettisworth High-Sheriff of the County of Hants, and Commander of the Horse of the County of Hants.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edward Leech and Mr. Page;

The Lords have commanded us to acquaint you, That they have agreed to all the Votes they received from you at a Conference concerning the Scotts Army and Papers; and, as you desired, have appointed a Committee of Eight, whereof Three to be of the Quorum; and desire you to appoint a proportionable Number, to meet Tomorrow at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Lord Keeper's Lodgings; if it may stand with your Conveniency.

Sir Thomas Widdrington, Sir Arth. Haselrigg, Mr. Nath. Fienes, Sir Philip Stapleton, Mr. Samuel Browne, Mr. Pierrepont, Lord Fairefaxe, Sir Wm. Lewes, Mr. Pury, Sir Hen. Cholmeley, Sir Wm. Constable, Sir Hen. Vane, Mr. Whittacre, Mr. Berwis, Mr. Crewe, Mr. Sollicitor;

This Committee (whereof Six to be of the Quorum) are to meet To-morrow, with a proportionable Number of the Lords, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Lord Keeper's Lodgings, concerning the Votes touching the Scotts Army and Papers.

Ordered, &c. That, on Friday next, in the Afternoon, the House do sit, to take into Consideration Ordinances for Compositions and Reports.

The House hath considered your Message; and have appointed a Committee to meet, as is desired.
