Prayers.

ORdered, That Mr. Reynolds have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That the Committee of the Army shall dispose of such Provisions of Biscuit and Cheese as they have in Store for the Army, and are like to perish, for the Relief of the Prisoners of War: And that the Committee of Prisoners shall take care of the Distribution thereof.

Mr. Lane reports, from the Committee, the Ordinance, amended, for the Relief of the Counties of Oxon, Bucks, Berks, and Southampton, and for the better Securing of the Associated Counties, and Parts adjacent: And the Ordinance, so amended, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent to the Lords, for their Concurrence, by Mr. Lane.

Ordered, That the Lord Wenman shall have Leave to go to the Wells, for Recovery of his Health.

Ordered, That Sir Francis Barneham shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That a new Ordinance be brought in for continuing the Ordinance of * * for Maintenance of the Forces of the County of Lincolne for Four Months: And the Care hereof is referred to Mr. Ellis.

Mr. Ellis and Mr. Bainton are appointed to acquaint the Scots Commissioners with the Copy of the Articles concerning the Surrender of Carlile, which were sent to this House, and came accidentally to their Hands that sent it; and to desire, That if they have any attested Copy of those Articles, that they would compare that Copy with theirs.

Mr. Samuel Browne carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinance for Mr. Reynolds to be DeputyClerk of the Hanaper: The Ordinance for Payment of the Monies, due to the late Lord Keeper upon finable Writs, into the Hanaper.

Mr. Lisle carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinances for granting Four thousand Pounds, out of the Estate of the Heir of Sir William Savile, to the Lord Wharton; and for the Committee at HaberdashersHall, to lend Two thousand Pounds to the Lord Wharton, upon the Credit of that Ordinance: And the Ordinance for granting the Office of Treasurer of Marine Causes to Sir Henry Vane the younger, under the Great Seal.

Mr. Lane carried to the Lords, for their Concurrence, the Ordinance for Relief of the Counties of Oxon, Bucks, Berks, and Southampton, and for better securing the Associated Counties.

Mr. Whitlocke reported, from the Committee to whom it was referred, divers Informations of the Members of both Houses, and others, concerning the Lord Digbye's Letter to Legge, intercepted by Colonel Massie; the Business concerning Mr. Cranford and Mr. Holles.

Mr. Lane brings Answer from the Lords, That they will send Answer to the Ordinance for Relief of the Three Counties of Oxon, Bucks, Berks, &c. by Messengers of their own.

Mr. Lisle brings Answer from the Lords, That the Lords do agree to the Two Ordinances concerning the Lord Wharton; and to the Ordinance for granting the Office of Treasurer of Marine Causes to Sir Henry Vane junior, under the Great Seal.

Mr. Browne brings Answer from the Lords, That, as to the Ordinance carried by him to the Lords, for Payment of the Monies due to the late Lord Keeper unto the Hanaper, they do agree: And, as to the Ordinance for appointing Mr. Reynolds Deputy-Clerk of the Hanaper, they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Mr. Browne reports, from the Committee to whom it was referred, the Letter and Paper of the Lord Savile's, delivered in to this House by Mr. Gourdon; and the Informations of several of the Members of both Houses; and the Examinations of the Lord Savile, and others, concerning the same.

Resolved, &c. That the Report this Day made by Mr. Whitelock is now ripe for Judgment.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Holles and Mr. Whitelock shall be examined in the House.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Holles and Mr. Whitelock shall be examined To-morrow, the first Business: And that the House do proceed to the Consideration, Whether the Business concerning them be ripe for Judgment: And that then they proceeed to the Judgment of the First Business; and then to the Judgment of the Second.
