Prayers.

SIR Thomas Wroth brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Order, Yesterday carried by him to their Lordships, for the Payment of the Four thousand Pounds owing by the Earl of Arundell to Sir Edmund Pye, a Delinquent, unto the Committee at Haberdashers-Hall, for Relief of the Wives and Widows of poor Soldiers, and thers, that have Monies owing to them by the State.

According to an Order, Yesterday made, the House took into Consideration the Paper, Yesterday reported by Mr. Crewe from the Commissioners of Scotland, the first Business.

The which was read.

The Question being propounded, That this House doth adhere to their former Votes, as to the Time, and the Manner, of the Payment of the Four hundred thousand Pounds to the Kingdom of Scotland;

The Question was put, That this Question should be now put:

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So as the Question passed with the Negative.

Spring, Sir John Hobarte, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Gott, Mr. Recorder, Sir Henry Vane senior, Mr. Liegh, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Tate, Sir John Evelyn of Surrey, Mr. Rolle, Sir Samuel Rolle, Mr. Bond, Mr. Ball, Mr. Nicoll, Mr. Wilson, Mr. Blakiston, Mr. Pierpont, Sir Peter Wentworth, Sir John Curson, Sir Walter Erle, Sir Robert Harley, Mr. Crewe, Sir Gregory Norton, Lieutenant-General Cromwell, Sir Robert Pye, Sir Edward Hungerford, Mr. Knightley, Sir John Burgoyne, Mr. Rous, Mr. Strode, Sir Anthony Irby, Mr. Humphry Edwards, Mr. Drake, Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Alderman Atkyn, and the Citizens and Burgesses of the City of London;

This Committee is appointed to go from this House to the Lord Mayor, Aldermen, and Common-Council of the City of London, or to any other Persons, for the Borrowing of the Sum of Two hundred thousand Pounds, as soon as may be, for the Service of the State: And have Power to treat with any such Committee as the CommonCouncil shall appoint, or with any other Persons; and to consider of all Ways and Means for the Raising of the said Sum of Two hundred thousand Pounds; and to offer Securities for the same: And are to report the Whole to the House on Thursday Morning next.

Ordered, That the Lord Mayor of the City of London be desired to call a Common-Council, on Monday next, in the Afternoon: And Mr. John Venn, Mr. Edmund Harvey, and Mr. Alderman Atkyn, do acquaint the Lord Mayor with this Order: And that a Committee of this House will be ready to meet them at that time.

Ordered, That the Members of this House that are of the Committee of both Kingdoms, or any Four of them, do confer with the Scotts Commissioners, and receive Satisfaction from them, concerning the Delivery up of the Garisons, and the Marching of their Armies and Forces out of this Kingdom; and do let them know, that it is desired, if they want any Powers, that they would speedily procure the same from the Kingdom of Scotland; to the end the Delivery up of the Garisons, and the Marching away of their said Armies and Forces, may be ascertained between the Two Kingdoms; and likewise that they will declare, If they have any Instructions to make any other Demands before the Marching away of their Forces out of this Kingdom; and, if they have, then what those other Demands are.

Ordered, That Mr. John Ash, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Mr. Spilman, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Sir Oliver Luke, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Mr. Aldworth, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That John Rayney Esquire, Son to Sir John Rayney Baronet, Mr. William Samuell, and Mr. Anthony Samuell, Sons of Anthony Samuell Esquire, and Mr. William Doule their Tutor, shall have Leave to embark themselves, together with their necessary Accommodations, in any Ship or Vessel, in any of the Ports of this Kingdom; and to transport themselves and Accommodations into France: And Mr. Speaker is to grant a Pass to them for their Transportation accordingly.

Ordered, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee on Thursday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock, to consider of the Ordinance for punishing and preventing the Publishing, Spreading, Growth, and Maintaining of any heretical or blasphemous Opinions.

Resolved, &c. That the House be adjourned until Thursday Morning at Eight of the Clock.

And the House was so adjourned accordingly.
