Die publicæ Humiliationis.
Ordered, That Mr. Holles and Sir Peter Wentworth do, from this House, give Thanks to Mr. Bolton and Mr. Cheynell, for the great Pains they took in the Sermons they preached this Day, at the Intreaty of this House, at St. Margaret's, Westminster, it being the Day of Publick Humiliation; and to desire them to print their Sermons: And they are to have the like Privilege in Printing of them, as others in the like Kind usually have had.
Ordered, That Sir Peter Wentworth and Mr. Westrow do, from this House, desire Mr. Owen; and likewise That Mr. Jennor do desire Mr. Nalton; to preach before the Commons, at St. Margaret's, Westminster, the next Fast-Day.
Ordered, That Mr. Scott do, from this House, give Thanks to Mr. Strong, for the great Pains he took in the Sermon he preached, at the Intreaty of this House, on Thursday the Twelfth of this instant March, it being the Day of Publick Thanksgiving; and to desire him to print his Sermon.
Ordered, That Mr. Millington do make the Report of the Ordinance for Punishing of Paul Best, and the State of the Case at Law, as it standeth at this Day, against Heresy, on Saturday Morning next.
Wm. Massam, Matthew Allen, Robert Bindlos, Brian Stapylton, William Ball, Thomas Chalener, Henry Peck, Arthur Owen, Richard Aldworth, Thomas Fell, Wm. Langton, this Day took the National League and Covenant.
