Information against Holeman.

AN Information of Words spoken by Captain Holeman, was this Day read; and referred to the Committee for Informations.

Providing Money.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the House shall be resolved into a Committee, to consider of the Providing of a Stock of present Monies.

Petition, &c. presented to the King.

A Letter from the Committees at Yorke, of the Twentyfourth of May, directed to Mr. Speaker, declaring, that, the Three-and-twentieth of this Instant, they presented the Petition and Votes of both Houses to his Majesty; and that his Majesty will give an Answer shortly.

Affairs at Yorke.

The Gentleman that brought the Letters from Yorke, was called in:

Says, That there is one Captain Trist, a German.-

He sent a Serjeant of His to receive Entertainment in Captain Lowins his Company, as a common Soldier.-

That one Mr. Beckwith, of Beverley, offered to Lieutenant Fowlkes ..... the Troop commanded by the Prince, and under him Captain Byron; the other Troop by one Mr. Jackson, Servant to the Earl of Straford-

That the Lord Keeper arrived at Yorke on Tuesday Night last.-

The Seal came before, brought by Mr. Eliott.-

The Mint.

Sir Walth. Erle, * Harley, * Wentworth, Mr. Whittacre, are appointed to go to the Tower, to examine the Officers of the Mint, what Quantity of Plate, Bullion, Spanish Pistols, or Pieces of Eight, have lately come into the Mint, and is now there; and what Quantity of Gold has been lately and is there daily coined; and from whom they had it; and how they have disposed .... And have Power to send for any such Parties, as they shall think may inform them in any Particulars of this Nature.

Members not to go out.

Resolved, upon the Question, That no Member of the House shall go out of the House, without Leave.

Field-pieces stayed, &c.

The Examination of Will. Sanders of Tamworth, in the County of Warwick, Waggoner, concerning Field-pieces that he carried for Sir Tho. Littleton, taken before Sir Tho. *

The House doth hold it fit, that the Field-pieces of Sir Tho. Littleton, stayed at Ailsbury, shall be kept there till this House take farther Order: And that the Waggoners, and the Waggon, and the rest of the Carriage, be forthwith discharged.

Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Pierrepointe, are to withdraw, to prepare an Order for the Preventing any Arms or Ammunition to go to Yorke.

Precedents to be printed.

Divers Articles of Treason, that were put up in Parliament against Alexander Archbishop of Yorke, Robert de Veere Duke of Ireland, Michael de la Poole Earl of Suffolke, and other, 11° R. II. were this Day read: And

It is Ordered, by Vote upon the Question, That they should be forthwith printed in French, English, and Latin; together with the Votes that came from the Lords, in which they are quoted, and to which they relate; and that the Lords be sent to, to desire their Concurrence herein.

Conference.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Ro. Riche and Mr. Page;

The Lords desire a Conference by Committees of both Houses presently, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with the Conveniency of this House, concerning a Letter which the Earl of Essex has received from the Lord Pagett, concerning the Bill for calling the Assembly of Divines, touching the Liturgy and Government of the Church; and concerning a Paper received from the Scotts Commissioners.

Message to Lords.

Mr. Fienis carried up to the Lords the Articles against the Archbishop of Yorke, &c. put up in Parliament, 11° R. II^di; and to desire the Lords, that they may be printed, with the Votes sent from the Lords on Friday last, to which they reláte, in French and English; and so much of them, as is in Latin, in Latin: And to desire the Lords to expedite the Declaration, last sent up from this House unto them, that it may be published in Print.

Deputy Lieutenants.

Resolved, That this House doth approve of Mr. Thomas, a Member of this House, to be Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Anglesey.

Resolved, That this House doth approve of Mr. Jo. Fienis, to be Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Oxon.

Resolved, upon the Question, That this House doth approve of Mr. Edwards, to be One of the Deputy Lieutenants for the City of Chester.

Merchant Adventurers.

Ordered, That... the House return from the Conference, that the Bill concerning the Merchant Adventurers may be read.

Conference.

Answer returned by the same Messengers; That the House is resolved to give a present Meeting, as is desired.

Ordered, That the Lords would join, that the Arms, that came from the Northern Expedition, belonging to the County of Essex, that remain at Harwich, may be viewed by the Deputy Lieutenants, and taken into their Possession, and made serviceable for the County: And

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Davies shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That the Bill, concerning the Merchant Adventurers, be read the first Business To-morrow Morning.

Answer from Lords.

Mr. Fienis reports, That the Lords have agreed unto the Declaration last passed; and have given Order to have it printed: And as to the Articles sent up, and desired to be printed with the Votes sent from the Lords on Friday last, they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Lincolneshire.

That Mr. Charles Dymock and Captain Philip Welbye, be intreated to go down to Lincolneshire.

Deputy Lieutenant.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the House doth approve of Sir Rich. Samuell, to be Deputy Lieutenant of the County of Northampton.

Publishing Declaration, &c.

That the Knights and Burgesses of the several Counties and Cities do take care for the dispersing and publishing the Declaration, last printed, of the Lords and Commons, and now ordered to be printed, and the Articles and Petition sent to his Majesty, into the several Counties, Cities, and Boroughs: And that the Members that serve for the * * * *.

Merchant Adventurers.

Answers from Lords

Sir Tho. Barrington brings Answer, That the Lords do agree, that the Deputy Lieutenants of Essex shall direct the Commissions to the Captain.. as is desired; and do agree to the Order for the Restitution of the Arms at Harwich to the County of Essex.

Mr. Cromwell brings Answer, That the Lords in whose Hands the Papers concerning the Raising of Men for the additional Forces by Sea, and for other Services of Ireland, is now... But that the Lords will enter into Consideration of those Orders To-morrow Morning.
