PRAYERS.

Ships, &c. for Ireland.

ORDERED, That a Message be sent to the Lords, to desire their Lordships to expedite their Answer to the Propositions concerning the setting forth of Ships for the Relief of Ireland.

Mr. Fienis is appointed to carry up this Message.

He is likewise to carry up the Warrant for levying of Ten thousand Men for the Service of Ireland.

Proceedings concerning Hull.

There was a Copy of a Petition presented to the House, that was intituled from the Gentry and Commonalty of the County of Yorke, which was presented unto his Majesty; to desire him to keep the Magazine at Hull there, for the Defence of his Majesty's Person and that County.

The House was likewise informed, that the Duke of Yorke, the Prince Elector, the Earl of Perth, and the E. of Newport, went to Hull on Friday last: And that his Majesty was resolved to go on Saturday Morning.

That a Conference shall be desired with the Lords, concerning an Information that this House has received of a Petition delivered to his Majesty, for the Stay of the Magazine at Hull, contrary to the Order and Desires of both Houses.

The Lord Fairefax is appointed to go up with this Message.

Sir Ph. Stapilton, Sir Hugh Cholmeley, Mr. Hampden, are appointed to prepare Heads for this Conference; and to manage it.

That Sir F. Wortley, Sir Wm. Wentworth, Sir Jo. Gibson, Sir Tho. Mettam, Sir Rich. Hutton, Sir Paul Neale, Mr. Brian Palmes, Mr. Geo. Butler, Mr. Dawney, Mr. Mountaine, Captain Franck, be forthwith summoned to attend this House: And that the Lords be desired to concur in this Vote.

Loan from Merchant Adventurers.

Sir H. Mildmay and Sir Tho. Berrington, are appointed to treat with the Merchant-adventurers for the Loan of Twenty thousand Pounds.

Answer from Lords.

Mr. Fienis brings Answer, That the Lords, both to the Propositions for the Ships, and the Warrants for raising of Ten thousand Pounds, they will send Answer by Messengers of their own.

Merchant Adventurers Petition.

The humble Petition of the Governors, Assistants, and Fellowship of the Merchant-adventurers of England, was this Day read; and ordered to be referred to the Grand Committee for the Bill of Tonage and Poundage, to take into their Consideration.

A Message from the Lords by Sir Edw. Leech and Mr. Page:

That whereas this House has often desired that the Ordinance of Parliament might be put in Execution, that there are several Instruments that have lain by them these Ten Days that concerns some Members: And therefore they have sent them to this House.

Transporting Hull Magazine.

Ordered, That the Estimate of the Charge of Two Collier Ships to be employed for the Transportation of the Magazine from Hull to the Tower of London, be referred to the Consideration of the Navy: And they are to bring in their Opinions upon it To-morrow Morning.

Conference.

Andover Election.

Ordered, That Sir H. Herbert, do make Report, Tomorrow Morning peremptorily, concerning the Election of Andover. The Serjeant's Man is to give him particular Notice of this Order.

Resolved, &c. That no more Names of Divines for England and Wales shall be added to the Number already chosen.

Prisoners discharged.

Whereas Information is given to the House, that Newton, and Mayo, now in the Custody of the Keeper of the Gatehouse, by Order of the House, are material Witnesses against Two Priests that are presently to be tried; It is this Day Ordered, That the said Newton and Mayo be discharged of any further Restraint: But they required and ordered, by this House, to go to Signior Amerigo, to make that Submission this House formerly ordered them to make.
