PRAYERS.
Clerks of the Market, &c.
THE Bill concerning the Clerks of the Market, to be read on Monday Morning. And a Catalogue of Bills to be brought hither, and presented to this House, on Monday next.
Grievances.
The humble Petition of Joseph Hawes, read; and referred to the Committee for Grievances:
Ordered, That this Petition be referred to the Committee for Grievances: And that all Extents upon Bonds, by reason of the Matters set forth in the Petition, be stayed: And that the Patent, for the Monopoly of Tobacco, be forthwith brought into this House: And that the Referees, to whom the Legality of this Patent was referred, attended the said Committee, at the same time.
Sir Jo. Nulles is ordered likewise to attend the said Committee, at the same time.
Monopolists.
The Business concerning Sir Jo. Jacob, complained of by Mr. Trelaunie, a Member of this House, is referred to the Committee for Monopolists; and He to withdraw in the mean time; and not to sit, till his Cause be heard.
Person sent for.
Resolved, upon the Question, That Dr. Cousens be forthwith sent for, as a Delinquent, by the Serjeant at Arms attending on this House.
Articles against E. of Straford.
The Articles offered by a Member of this House, against the Earl of Straford, are referred to the Committee that are to draw up the Charge against the said Earl.
Grievances.
The Petitions delivered from many of the Vintners, and from the Merchant-adventurers, referred to the Committee for Grievances.
Patents to be produced.
It is Ordered, That Sir Nicholas Cripps attend the Committee for Grievances: And that he bring forthwith to this House the Patent he hath for the sole Trade to Guiney and Binny; and the sole importing of the Redwood; and the Patent concerning Coporis Stones; and the Patent for the sole Making, and Venting, of Beads, and Beaugles.
Transactions with Scotland.
Sir Tho. Roe went up with this Message to the Lords; That this House does approve of the Persons of those Lords, that were Commissioners in the late Treaty at Rippon, to be Commissioners to treat with the Scotish Commissioners; with this Declaration, that no Conclusion of theirs shall bind the Commons, without their Consent in Parliament: And for the other Part, concerning the Money, this House has taken it into serious Consideration; and will acquaint their Lordships with their Resolutions thereupon speedily.
Members to take the Communion.
The Members of this House are required, when they come to receive the Communion To-morrow, to bring with them, every Man, a Ticket of his Name, and the Place for which he serves; and to deliver it to One of the Committee, named and appointed for that Purpose.
Charge against Spiller.
Sir H. Spiller is to remain still in safe Custody, till he understand the farther Pleasure of the House.
Mr. Grimston, Mr. Whistler, Mr. Perd, Mr. Glinne, Sir Tho. Barrington, Mr. Trencher, Mr. Green, Mr. Bagshaw, the Knights of Middlesex, the Knights and Burgesses of Bucks';
This Committee is to prepare the Charge against Sir H. Spiller; and have Power to send for Records, Parties, Witnesses, and Papers; and are to meet on Monday in the Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Court of Wards.
A Warrant is to be sent to the Keeper of Newgate, requiring him to bring, in safe Custody, Edward Sharpe to the Committee for Sir H. Spiller's Business, which sits on Monday in the Afternoon: And the said Sharpe is to have the Favour of this House, in the same Measure as Leighton has.
The Petition of Edward Sharpe is referred to the same Committee : And so is the Petition of Edmund Felton, Gentleman.

By Order, the House is resolved into a Committee; and
Mr. Solicitor was called to the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor reported from the Grand Committee, That they were of Opinion, that the Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen should have Knowledge of the Names, and of the Security offered by this House; that they may consider of it, and return their Answer on Monday next.
This was voted in the House, and resolved upon by Question.
State of the Army, &c.
Mr. Solicitor farther reported, That the Committee was of Opinion, that a Committee should be appointed, to consider of the State of the King's Army; and what Commanders, or other inferior Officers, are Papists; and to consider of the State of the Northern Counties, and the Payments issuing thence to the Scotch Army; and how the Money, being raised, may, with Convenience and Speed, be sent into the North; and to see whether any of those Charges, that lie upon the Army, may conveniently be spared; and to have Power to send for the Lists of the Army, and any Persons that may conduce to the Business.
This was voted in the House, and resolved upon by Question.
And thereupon a Committee was named; which were these that follow:

This Committee is to consider of the State of the King's Army; and what Commanders, or other inferior Officers, are Papists; and to consider of the State of the Northern Counties, and the Payments issuing thence to the Scotish Army; and how the Money, being raised, may, with Convenience and Speed, be sent into the North; and to see whether any of those Charges that lie upon the Army, may conveniently be spared: And has Power to send for the Lists of the Army, and any Person, that may conduce to the Business: And are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of Clock, in the Exchequer-chamber.
