PRAYERS .

Parish in Lancashire.

2da vice lecta est Billa, AN Act of the New Erecting of the Parish of * * in Com' Lanc'; and endowing the Rector of the said Parish, and, upon Question, committed unto the Committee for Dividing of the Parish of Holland, in the County of Lanc'; And are to meet on Tuesday Fortnight, in the Exchequer.

Lord Fairfax, Mr. Selden, Mr. Bellassis, and Alderman Soames, are added to this Committee.

Prisoner to be brought up.

The humble Petition of Wm. Taylor, a Prisoner in the Tower, was this Day read: And, it was Ordered, That he should be brought hither To-morrow.

Archbp. of Canterbury.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Lord of Cant' do meet.

Ashton's Petition.

Ordered, That the humble Petition of Sir Wm. Ashton be referred to the Committee for the Customers.

Tonage and Poundage.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Grant of Subsidy of Tonage and Poundage shall, for the Time limited in the Bill, be granted to the King.

Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Glyn, Mr. Selden, Mr. Lisle, Sir Hen. Mildmay, Mr. Hide, Mr. Cage, are to retire into the Committee-chamber, to amend the Bill for Tonage and Poundage, according to the Resolution of the House, this Day made.

Appropriation of Money.

Ordered, That Sixty thousand Pounds, Part of the Hundred thousand Pounds, promised to be paid in by the Farmers of the Customs; and the Forty thousand Pounds, Residue of the One hundred and Twenty thousand Pounds, promised to be lent by the City, shall be paid in to the Earl of Warwicke, towards the Relief of the Northern Counties.

And it is further Ordered, That Fifty thousand Pounds, Part of the One hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds, promised to be lent by the Merchant Adventurers; and that the Forty thousand Pounds, Remainder of the One hundred thousand Pounds, ordered to be paid in by the Customers, and Ten thousand Pounds, Part of the Fifteen thousand Pounds, that the present Customers are to pay in; shall be paid in to Sir Wm. Uvedale, for the Relief of the King's Army.

And it is further Ordered, That the Monies, thus paid in to the Earl of Warwicke, and Sir Wm. Uvedale, respectively, shall be by them locked up; and none of it issued forth, without special Order from this House.

Disbanding the Armies.

Anderson, Mr. Fynes, Sir Wm. Armyn, Sir Patr. Curwen, Mr. Cage, Sir Hen. Bellingham, Mr. Goodwin, Mr. Martin, Sir Jo. Evelyn, Sir Jo. Merricke, Sir Wm. Ogle, Sir Gilbert Gerrard, Sir Walt. Earle, Mr.Northcott, Lord Fairfaxe, Sir Arth. Haslerigge, Sir John Holland, Sir Guy Palmes, Mr. Mallory, Sir Bevile Greenevile, Lord Falkland, Mr. Bellassis, Sir Tho. Hutchinson, Sir Philip Musgrave, Sir Wm. Uvedale, Sir Tho. Barrington, Sir Ralph Hopton, Capt. Ashburnham;

This Committee is to consider of the best and readiest Way for Disbanding of the Armies; and are to report their Opinions therein To-morrow Morning, if possible they can; or on Saturday Morning, at furthest: And are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Star-chamber.

Exceptions to a Member's Words.

Exceptions were taken at some Words of Mr. Kinge's, in reprehending Mr. Speaker, (when he only spake to the Orders of the House) in unfitting Terms; and in making Difference of Members of the House.

He was thereupon commanded to withdraw:

And, in his Place, he made Acknowledgment of his Error: And the House rested satisfied with it.

Leave of Absence.

Mr. Arundell has Leave to go into the Country.

Tonage and Poundage.

Mr. Lisle reports the Bill of Tonage and Poundage, upon the Recommitment: And, upon Question, ordered to be ingrossed.

And it is Ordered, That this Bill be in no Day read the Third time till after Nine of Clock in the Morning.

Lord Digby

Ordered, That Sir John Evelyn make his Report on Saturday next, concerning the Lord Digby.

Providing Money.

1^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the speedy Provision of Money, for disbanding the Armies, and settling the Peace of the Two Kingdoms of England and Scotland.

Resolved, upon the Question, That this Bill, concerning the Bringing in of Plate, shall now be read the Second time.

2da vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the speedy Provision of Money, for disbanding the Armies, and settling the Peace of the Two Kingdoms of England and Scotland; and, upon Question, committed unto a Committee of the whole House; to meet upon it To-morrow post meridiem at Two of Clock: And that the Officers of the Mint, and the Goldsmiths, attend the Committee.

Subsidies.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Bill of Subsidies meet this Afternoon at Two of Clock.

Dorsett Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker shall issue forth a Warrant, under his Hand, directed to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, for a new Writ, for Electing of a Knight of the Shire to serve for the County of Dorsett, in the Room and Stead of the Lord Digby, formerly chosen to serve as One of the Knights for that County.
