PRAYERS .

Leather, Trade.

ORDERED, That Mr. King shall, with all convenient Speed, make Report of the Business of Leather, depending before the Committee.

Upon Mr. Vassall's Motion, concerning Leather;

It was moved, That Mr. King, that sat in the Chair at that Committee, may make Report of that Business, so soon as he comes into the House, if there shall be Conveniency,

Savile's Petition.

Ordered, That Sir Wm. Savile's Petition shall be read on Wednesday Morning at Nine of Clock: And that the House shall then enter into the Consideration of that Business: And Mr. Speaker is to put the House in mind of this Order.

Recusants.

Mr. Glyn, Mr. Morgan, and Mr. Perd, are desired to go to the Judges of the King's-bench, to require them to proceed, forthwith, against such Recusants whose Indictments are returned into the King's-bench by Certiorari; and to know of them, upon what Ground they issued forth those Certioraries; the Order for their Indictments being directed by the House of Commons.

Recusants.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Bill concerning Recusants do meet on Tuesday, post meridiem, at Two of Clock.

Loan from the City

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Lord Mayor, by Mr. Alderman Pennington, to acquaint him that this House doth expect, that the Forty thousand Pounds (the Remainder of the Sixscore thousand Pounds) be paid in, according to Promise, speedily: And that the Forty and Four thousand Pounds, Part of the Threescore thousand Pounds, which was formerly lent by the City of London, should be repaid out of the Four Subsidies first granted, may be forborne, upon Interest, and upon the Security of the Bill of Four hundred thousand Pounds now last granted, until this Time Twelvemonth.

Star-chamber, &c.

Mr. Prideaux reports the Bill concerning the Starchamber, and the Council-board; with the Amendments: The which Amendments were twice read; and, upon Question, ordered to be ingrossed.

Charges against the Judges.

Mr. Hide reports from the Committee for the Judges, the several Charges against the Judges.

The Articles of Impeachment of Judge Berkley were first read.

The Title to the Articles, and each particular Article, were all severally read; and voted, upon the Question; and, upon the Question, ordered to be ingrossed.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Judges shall take into Consideration the several Petitions of Simons, Pitts, and Cotterell, upon the whole Matter of their Petitions, for their Relief: But not to proceed therein till the House meet again after the Recess.

Reports deferred.

Ordered, That the Report upon the Vote of the Canons be made To-morrow Morning at Eight of Clock: And that the Report of the Charge against the Judges be forthwith proceeded in, on Wednesday Morning at Eight of Clock.

Search for Abell's Goods.

Ordered, That a Warrant, under Mr. Speaker's Hand, shall be directed to the Serjeant at Arms attending on this House; commanding him forthwith to make Entry into any Place or House, and to make Search for all such Goods, as are conceived to be the Goods of Alderman Abell: And to require that all Officers give Assistance to the Serjeant, for the better executing of this Order.

Customs, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Customers shall send for such Persons as are appointed to enter the Goods of Merchants; to consider of some such Way as is fit for the Entry, and for the Preserving of them, and the Customs due upon Goods: And to report To-morrow Morning: And to prepare a Book of Rates in convenient Time.

Sir Robert Pye, Sir Ra. Hopton, Mr. Reynolds, Sir Hen. Mildmay, Sir Edw. Hungerford, Sir John Curson, are added to the Committee for the Customers.

The Serjeant is commanded to bring Abell and Kilvert to the Committee.

Subsidies.

Ordered, That the House be resolved into a Committee to consider of the Bill of Subsidies.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Committees, &c.

Ordered, That no Committee shall sit this Afternoon, but upon publick Business that concerns the Kingdom in general, and publick Bills: And that the Members of the House attend the Grand Committee for the Bill of Subsidies.
