Earl of Winchelsea's Estate.

2da vice lecta est Billa, AN Act for the enabling of the Sale and Leasing of Lands, for Payment of the Debts of Thomas late Earl of Winchelsea; upon Question, committed unto Sir Edward Deering, Mr. Northcote, Sir Wm. Strickland, Sir Anth. Irby, Sir Arth. Haselrig, Sir Jo. Hotham, Sir Hugh Cholmeley, Mr. Finch, Mr. Mathawes, Sir Edmund Vowell, Mr. Young, Sir Jo. Evelyn, Sir Edw. Boyse, Mr. Glyn, Sir Gilbert Gerard, Sir Jo. Wray, Sir Edm. Mountfort, Mr. Ashburnham, Mr. Strode, Sir Rich. Buller, Mr. Cage, Mr. Bamfield, Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Rigby, Mr. Evelyn, Mr. Upton, Mr. Trelawny, Mr. Law. Whittaker, Sir Ph. Stapleton, Mr. Kirton, Sir Arth. Ingram, the Knights and Burgesses of Kent, and the Barons of the Cinque Ports: They are to meet on Thursday next, at Two of Clock, in the Court of Wards.

Privilege-Reflections on a Member.

Mr. Gore, who, according to a former Order, was sent for by the Serjeant at Arms, for Speaking of scandalous Words against Sir Fr. Seymour, then a Member of this House, now Lord Seymour, was this Day brought to the Bar; and after he had kneeled a while, being commanded by Mr. Speaker to stand, Mr. Speaker repeated the Words, which, by two Witnesses, were attested to be spoken by him: He said he remembered not any such Words; but if any such slipt from him, he protested his Sorrow for them, and submits himself to the Judgement and Censure of the House: Upon which Submission he is discharged, paying his Fees.

Petitions to be read.

Ordered, That on Friday next the General Petitions, that come from the several Counties, shall be read.

Ordered, That these be added to the Committee for the Ministers Remonstrance.

Serj. Wilde, &c.

Ordered, That the Business concerning Serjeant Wilde, Sir Hen. Herbert, Mr. Prideaux, and Mr. Constantine, be peremptorily heard on this Day Sevennight; and Sir Hen. Herbert, at his own Request, is spared from his Service in the Chair, at Sir Lewis Dives' Committee, so far as concerns the Worcestershire Petitions only.

Impeachment of E. of Straford.

Upon Mr. Whittlock's Report from the Committee for the Earl of Straford, the House does declare, that they are very well satisfied, that the Evidence to be produced against the Earl of Straford, at his Trial, be managed by Members.

Subsidies.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Drawing up of the last Bill of Subsidies do prepare a Bill for the Grant of the Two Subsidies last voted, in the same manner as the last Bill was drawn.

Mr. Solicitor is added to this Committee; and the Care of preparing this Bill is especially recommended to his Care.
