PRAYERS

Worcester Petition.

ORDERED, That the Petition from the County of Worcester be referred to the Committee for Deputy Lieutenants.

Lluellin was called in; and did avow the Petition.

Hanmer's, &c. Petition.

The humble Petition of Sir Tho. Hanmer Baronet, and John Puleston Esquire, was read; and avowed by the Petitioners; and referred to the Committee for the Marches of Wales.

Hill's Petition.

The humble Petition of Wm. Hill Gentleman, was read; and referred to the Committee of the Earl of Straford.

Privilege.

Ordered, That Edward Winkley, who served Sir Martin Lister, a Member of this House, with an Order out of the Court of Wards, contrary to the Privileges, be forthwith sent for, as a Delinquent, to answer his Breach, of the Privilege of this House.

Member to sit.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Godfrey Bosevile Esquire shall sit as a Member of this House for the Town of Warwick, till his Election be farther questioned and determined; and that all the Indentures, Writs, and Certificates, be taken off the File; except that Indenture, which was returned by the Bailiffs to the Sheriff.

A Prisoner to be delivered to the Serjeant.

Ordered, That the Lord Mayor of London be required, from this House, to take some Course, that Mr. Rich. Lloyd, a Divine, now a Prisoner in the Compter, be forthwith delivered into the Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attendant on this House, to be brought hither To-morrow Morning, to answer such Matters as shall be objected against him.

Preventing Disorders in Committee Rooms.

Ordered, That the Warden of the Fleet, the Ushers of the several Courts, where Committees shall sit, or any other whom it may concern, be commanded, from this House, that some of their Servants do attend the Committees, to regulate and prevent such Disorders, as are committed by disorderly Multitudes, that press in: And, in case any Man shall refuse to depart the Room (being required) or shall interrupt, that his Name shall be taken, and returned to the House, to take such Order with him, as they shall think fit.

Petitions from St. Alban's, &c.

Ordered, That the Petition, preferred by divers of the Inhabitants of the Town of St. Albans, against Tho. Conisby, Esquire, and the said Mr. Conisbye's Petition, and another Petition from divers others the Inhabitants of the Town of St. Albans, be referred to the Committee for Sir Lewis Dives: And that Mr. Conisby may, in the mean time, go at Liberty upon his own Bail.

Serj. Wilde, &c.

Ordered, That the Business, that concerns Mr. Serjeant Wilde, and Sir H. Herbert, be heard on Tuesday Morning next.

Sequestering E. of Straford.

A Message from the Lords, by Justice Heath and the King's Attorney;

The Lords do desire a Conference, by a Committee of both Houses, concerning the Sequestring of the Earl of Straford from his Offices: They desire it presently, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with the Conveniency of this House.

Answer returned by the same Messengers, That this House has taken their Lordships Message into Consideration; and will give them a Meeting presently, as is desired, by a Committee of the whole House.

Sir W. Erle, Sir Jo. Culpeper, Mr. Hollis, Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Hide, are appointed Reporters of this Conference.

Proceedings against E. of Straford.

A Message from the Lords, by Mr. Justice Heath and Mr. Attorney;

The Lords desire a free Conference, by a Committee of both Houses, touching the Proceedings against the Earl of Straford: They desire it presently, in the Painted Chamber, if it may stand with the Occasions of this House.

Answer returned, by the same Messengers; That this House has taken into Consideration their Lordships Message; and will give a Meeting for a free Conference, by a Committee of the whole House, concerning the Proceedings against the Earl of Straford, presently, as is desired.

The Reporters of the last Conference are appointed likewise for this; with the Addition of Mr. Pimme and Mr. Maynard.

Upon Mr. Pimme's Report, it was Ordered, That this Committee, Sir Walth. Erle, Sir Jo. Culpeper, Mr. Hollis, Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Hide, Mr. Pimme, Mr. Maynard, Mr. Selden, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Whittlock, Sir Simond D'Ewes, Mr. Whistler, Mr. Glyn, Mr. Hampden, do take into Consideration the whole Matter of the Report of the free Conference, now made by Mr. Pimme; and also what concerns the Right of the Commons in the Proceedings in the Lords House against the Earl of Straford; and what concerns the Kingdom in general, in the Legality of those Proceedings: And they are likewise to consider, what is fit for the Commons to claim, in Cases of Impeachments: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Treasury-chamber.
