PRAYERS.

Warham return to be amended.

ORDERED, That Edward Harbyn, the late Mayor of Warham's Deputy, be forthwith required to come hither, to mend the Return by him made of * * to serve for the Town of Warham aforesaid, as a Burgess in this present Parliament.

Salt, &c. Patents.

Ordered, That the Committee for Salt, Soap, and Leather, shall have Power to take into Consideration all Sorts of Leather in general, or any thing that may concern any Sort of Leather.

Warner's Ship, &c.

It is this Day Ordered, That the Order of this House, formerly made concerning Mr. Samuel Warner's Ship and Goods, detained in Portsmouth by the Farmers Deputies, &c. shall stand.

Vassall's Goods.

Ordered, That the Farmers of the Customs and Imposts of Tobacco be forthwith required, either to deliver unto Mr. Vassall such Goods of his as they have in their Custody, and do detain, upon Pretence of Customs, he giving them good Security, to stand to such Determination in the Cause, as this House shall appoint; or else, that they do appear here, to shew Cause, why they do not deliver them.

Witnesses concerning Ld. Finch.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Judges shall have Power to appoint such of the said Committee as they shall think fit, to be present at the Examination of Witnesses, before the Lords, in the Cause of the Lord Finch.

Member concerned in Monopolies.

Upon Mr. Perd's Report from the Committee for Monopolists, it was

Resolved, upon the Question, That Sir Nich. Cripps is a Monopolist, in point of Execution of the Patent for Copperas Stones, and so within the Order of this House, made against Monopolists; and ought not to sit as a Member in this House: And that a Warrant issue, under Mr. Speaker's Hand, directed to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, for a new Writ, for electing of another, to serve in his Stead for the Town of Winchelsea in Sussex.

Resolved, upon Question, That Mr. Geo. Goringe does appear to be neither Monopolist, nor Projector, nor within the Order made against Monopolists and Projectors.

Hopton's Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition this Day offered to the House, by Sir Ralph Hopton, shall be read To-morrow Morning.

Monopolies, &c.

Ordered, That the whole Consideration of all Monopolies and Monopolists, except the Monopolies of Salt, Soap, and Leather; and all such other, as are under Examination at any other Committee, be referred to That Committee, as is appointed to consider of such Monopolists as have Relation to this House, at which Committee Mr. Perd has the Chair: And it is likewise referred to the same Committee, to consider, who were the Referees of the several Patents and Grants for Monopolies; and of all others, that have had any Hand in the Procuring or Countenancing of any Patents or Grants; or have received any Money, or Gift for the procuring or Countenancing of any of them: And this Committee has Power to send for, and enquire after, all Grants of Patents, all Proclamations, Commissions, Contracts, Assignments, or any other thing, that may have any Relation, or concern any Patent, or other Grant, of any Monopoly or Project; and have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, Records, or any thing else, that may conduce to the Business.
