Parliament Protections.

1^da vice lecta est Billa, An Act to restrain the Multiplicity of Parliament Protections.

2da vice lecta est Billa prodicta; and upon Question, committed unto Mr. Reignolds, Sir Arthur Ingram, Sir Wm. Allinson, Sir Fra. Popham, Sir Guy Palmes, Mr. Mathews, Mr. Northcott, Sir Rich. Buller, Mr. Lisle, Mr. Selden, Sir Gilbert Gerard, Alderman Soames: And all, that will come, are to have Voices; and are to meet Tomorrow post meridiem, in the Court of Wards.

Pennington's, &c. Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition of Isaac Pennington, Alderman of the City of London, and One of the Members of this House, and of Lewis Younge, of London, Brewer, this Day preferred to the House of Commons, be referred to the Committee appointed to consider of Sir John Brooke's Petition; in the same Manner, and with the like Power, for this Petition; as it has for that.

Customers.

The Order for resuming the Consideration of the Votes presented from the Committee, concerning the Customers, was read:

And thereupon, a Proposition was made from the Customers; who, that they might have an Act of Oblivion pass, for what is past, they would give an Hundred thousand Pounds, for a Fine.

Resolved, upon the Question, That all Collections of any Sums of Money, by Colour or Pretence of Subsidies, Imposts, or Aids, upon any Merchandizes whatsoever, not granted by Consent in Parliament, are against the Law, the Liberty and Propriety of the Subject.

Resolved, &c. That all such Persons, as have collected, or taken, any Sums of Money, by Colour or Pretence of Subsidies, Imposts, or Aids, upon any Merchandize whatsoever, not granted by Consent in Parliament, are Delinquents.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Customers sit this Afternoon, at Four of Clock, in the Duchy-chamber.

Ordered, That the Votes concerning the Customers shall be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning at Nine of Clock.

The Treaty.

Ordered, That the Committee of Fifty-two do meet this Afternoon, in the House, at Three of Clock; and consider of the Treaty; and peruse the Votes of the House concerning it; and put them in a Way for Expedition: And that the Clerk attend them.

Ordered, That the Explanation upon the Eleventh Article, ... recommitted to the said Committee; to meet, in the Inner Court of Wards, at Two of Clock this Afternoon.
