Person excused from Attendance.

WHEREAS one Mr. Holland, an aged Gentleman, living about Two hundred Miles hence, is required, by a Committee of this House, to make his personal Appearance there; it being this Day affirmed, by a Member of this House, that he is so infirm, that he cannot personally appear; it is, in that respect, Ordered, that he shall appear by his Counsel.

Earl of Winchelsea's Estate.

3^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Sale and Leasing of certain Lands, for the Payment of the Debts of Tho. Earl of Winchelsea, deceased, &c.; upon Question, passed.

Committees.

Ordered, That the Committees for the Star-chamber, High Commission Court, Pluralities, Algiers, and Bishop of Elye, do meet To-morrow, in their usual Places.

Henden Writ.

Ordered, That a Warrant issue, under Mr. Speaker's Hand, directed to the Clerk of the Crown in Chancery, for a new Writ, for Electing of another Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Town of Henden, in County of *, in the stead of Sir Miles Flectwood, formerly returned to serve for that Place, and since deceased.

Army Affairs, &c.

Mr. Arth. Goodwyn, is appointed to go up to the Lords, at their next Sitting, to desire a Conference, by a Committee of both Houses, concerning the Armies; and concerning the Desires of both Houses, represented unto his Majesty not long since, for disbanding the Irish Army, Disarming of the Papists, and Removing of Recusants from Court.

Heads of this Conference:

The First to be, That Resolution of the House, made Lunæ, 5° of this April, concerning the Advancing of the King's Army, or the Trained-bands of Yorkeshire, &c.

The Second to be, To desire the Lords to join with this House, to move his Majesty for a speedy Answer to the Desires of both Houses, concerning the Disbanding of the Irish Army, Disarming of the Papists, and Removing of Recusants from Court.

A Third to be, To know upon what Terms the Treaty with the Scotts stands; and to desire, that it may be brought to some speedy Issue.

Fourth: To move the Lords, That Care be taken, if they shall think fit, that some chief Officer of the Army be sent down to the Army with all convenient Speed.

Sir John Clotworthy, Sir Walth. Erle, Sir Jo. Colpeper, Mr. Hollis, are to manage this Conference.
