Prayers.

Answer to Address.

MR. Speaker reported, that he did Yesterday, with the House, attend his Majesty in the Banquetinghouse, according to his Appointment; and presented the Address of this House to his Majesty: And that thereupon his Majesty was pleased to express himself to this Effect, viz.

Nothing that relates to the Peace pleases me so much as the Satisfaction you have in it: And as you have assisted me in the War beyond all expression, I do not doubt but you will be as zealous in maintaining the Peace.

Preventing Corruption of Juries

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill to prevent the Corrupting of Juries: And that Mr. Moncton, and Sir Robert Cotton, do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.

The King's Speech referred.

Ordered, That his Majesty's Speech be referred to the Committee of the whole House, who are appointed this Day to consider thereof.

Members summoned.

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms do go into Westminster-hall, and Court of Requests; and summon the Members there to attend the Service of the House.

And he went accordingly.

And, being returned;

The King's Speech considered.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of his Majesty's Speech.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Conyers took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Conyers reported from the said Committee, That they had come to a Resolution; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the Report be made To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Ten a Clock.
