Prayers.
Crediton Work-houses.
MR. Burrington reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill for erecting an Hospital or Hospitals, Work-house or Work-houses, House or Houses of Correction, within the Town and Parish of Crediton, in Devon, for the better Relief of the Poor there, was committed, That they had considered the same; and made several Amendments thereunto; which they had directed him to report to the House; which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.
A Clause was offered to be added to the Bill, That if the Justices within and next to Crediton shall refuse to act, pursuant to the Bill, any other Justices of Devon may act:
And the same was twice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be made Part of the Bill.
Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Sir William Williams have Leave to go into the Country, upon extraordinary Occasions.
Ordered, That Mr. Brewer have Leave to go into the Country, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Hereford Work-houses.
Mr. Morgan, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for erecting of Hospitals and Work-houses within the City of Hereford, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor there: And the same was received.
The Bill was read the First time.
Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second Time upon Thursday Morning next.
Hudson's Bay Company.
A Bill for Continuance of a former Act, for confirming to the Governor and Company trading to Hudson's Bay, their Privileges and Trade, was, according to Order, read a Second time.
Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Harley, Sir Robert Burdet, Sir Tho. Davall, Sir Tho. Roberts, Sir Steph. Evans, Sir Marm. Wivell, Mr. Moore, Lord Digby, Mr England, Sir John Philips, Mr. Bridges, Mr. Ashby, Mr. Palmer, Sir John Fleet, Mr. Sandford, Mr. Mountstevens, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir John Kay, Mr. Norris, Sir John Thorold, Sir Edward Seaward, Mr. Blofeild, Mr. Foley, Mr Aylmer, Sir Tho. Lee, Mr. Cheny, Sir Francis Masham, Mr. Tredenham, Sir John Bolles, Sir Wm. Ashurst, Mr. Champnyes, Sir Clouds. Shovell, Mr. Fleming, Sir Tho. Day, Sir Wm. Honywood, Mr. Freeman, Mr. Granvill, Mr. Sloane, Sir Henry Colt, Mr. Colt, Mr. Mawdit, Mr. Whitaker, Mr. Morris, Mr. Perry, Sir John Bucknall: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

A Petition of Peter Espritt Raddison was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That, about 1666, King Charles the Second sent the Petitioner, and his Brother, since deceased, with Two Ships, on purpose to settle the English Colonies and Factories in Hudson's Bay; which they effected so well, that the King gave them a Gold Chain and Medal, and recommended them to the Company of Adventurers, trading to Hudson's Bay, to be gratified by them for the said Service; and the Company settled on the Petitioner Six Actions, in their JointStock; and 100 l. per Annum for his Life: That the Petitioner is 62 Years of Age, and has not received any Benefit by the said Six Shares, for more than Seven Years last past; and hath nothing to maintain himself, and Four small Children, but the said 100 l. per Annum: And praying, That a Clause may be inserted in the Bill, before the House, for confirming to the Hudson's Bay Company their Privileges and Trade, to oblige the said Annuity to be paid quarterly, and the Dividends of the said Six Actions, as often as they shall become due, to the Petitioner, and his Heirs, during the Joint-Stock of the said Company.
Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee, to whom the said Bill is committed.
Earl of Macclesfield's Divorce.
Ordered, That Counsel and Witnesses be heard at the Committee of the whole House, to whom the ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for dissolving the Marriage between Charles Earl of Macclesfield, and Anne his Wife; and to illegitimate the Children of the said Anne; is committed; for making good the Allegations of the said Bill.
Trade to Germany.
The Lord Fairfax, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for supporting the Merchant-Adventurers of England in their Trade to Germany: And the same was received.
Resolved, That the Bill be read upon Monday Morning next.
Masters' Estate.
Mr. Brotherton, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to enable Streinsham Masters Esquire to sell Lands in Kent, which were agreed to be settled by his Articles of Marriage; and to convey Lands in Derbyshire, of a greater Value, to the same Uses: And the same was received.
Ordered, That the Bill be read upon Tuesday Morning next.
Supply Bill; Land Tax.
The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for granting to his Majesty an Aid, by a Land-Tax, for One Year, to raise Money for disbanding Forces, paying Seamen, and other Uses therein mentioned.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair, in order for the House to go to the Conference.
Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made a further Progress in the Bill; and had directed him to move, That they may have Leave to sit again.
Resolved, That this House will, immediately after the Conference, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the said Bill.
Conference with Lords.
Ordered, That the Committee, who drew up the State, do manage the Conference.
And they went to the Conference.
And, being returned;
The Lord Marquis of Hartington reported, That the Managers had been at the Conference, and given the Lords the State of the Matter of Fact, on which the Bill to punish Mr. Duncomb was grounded.
