ORDERED, That Mr. John How have Leave to go into the Country for a Month, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Guibon's Estate.

Sir Henry Hobart, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill to enable Sir Francis Guibon, and Dame Isabella his Wife, and their Trustees, to sell the Manor of Avenalls, and other Lands in or near Gunthorpe, in the County of Norfolk; and for settling other Lands, in lieu thereof: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Campion have Leave to go into the Country for Three Weeks, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Ordered, That Sir William Rich have Leave to go into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Army Arrears.

A Petition of the Serjeants, and private Centinels, who were lately discharged from the Regiment commanded by Colonel Coote, was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That the Petitioners are discharged without Payment of their Short-Allowance and Subsistence-money, and have complained thereof to the General Officers at the Horse-Guards, without receiving any Answer: That the Petitioners are Foreigners, without any Employment here; and have not wherewith to convey themselves into their native Countries; so must starve in the Streets, without Help: And praying Relief in the Premises.

Ordered, That the said Petition do lie upon the Table.

Counters, &c. Imprisenment

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill to continue in Prison * * Counter, John Bernardi, Robert Cassells, Robert Meldrum, James Chambers, and Robert Blackburne; who were committed to Newgate for their being concerned in the late horrid Conspiracy of assassinating his Majesty: And that Mr. Clark do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.

Hammered Coin.

Mr. Harcourt, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill, to prevent the Currency of any hammered Silver Coin of this Kingdom: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Abolishing Payments of Smoak-Silver, &c.

A Bill to take away the Payments of Smoak-Silver, Peter-pence, or common Fine, payable at the Sheriff's Turn, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Boscawen, Mr. Pocklington, Mr. Cooper, Lord Coningsby, Sir John Elwell, Sir John Duke, Sir Hen. Colt, Mr. Hooper, Mr. Heveningham, Sir John Kay, Mr. Dolben, Mr. Bertie, Mr. Pelham, Colonel Perry, Mr. Foley, Mr. Clark, Mr. Mountstevens, Mr. Evelyn, Sir Marm. A Member discharged from Custody.

Ordered, That Mr. Nanny, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for absenting himself from his Service in Parliament, be discharged out of Custody, paying his Fees.

Preventing Correspondence with late King James.

An ingrossed Bill against corresponding with the late King James was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act against corresponding with the late King James, and his Adherents.

Ordered, That Mr. Cooper do carry the Bill to the Lords; and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Coster's Petition.

A Petition of Jacob Coster, Agent, and several other Troopers, in the Regiment of Colonel Rechtoran, now disbanded, was presented to the House.

And the Question being put, That the said Petition be read;

It passed in the Negative.

Supply.

Sir Thomas Littleton, according to Order, reported from the Committee of the whole House, to whom it was referred to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, the Resolution of the said Committee, which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was read; and is as followeth; viz.

Resolved, That it is the Opinion of this Committee, That, in a just Sense and Acknowlegement of what great Things his Majesty has done for these Kingdoms, a Sum, not exceeding the Sum of 700,000 l. per Annum, be granted to his Majesty, during his life, for the Support of the Civil Lift.

A Motion being made, and the Question being put, That the said Resolution be re-committed.

So it passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That the House doth agree with the Committee in the said Resolution, That, in a just Sense and Acknowlegement of what great Things his Majesty has done for these Kingdoms, a Sum, not exceeding the Sum of 700,000 l. per Annum, be granted to his Majesty, during his Life, for the Support of the Civil List.

Timber in New Forest.

Ordered, That the Bill for Increase and Preservation of Timber in the New Forrest, in the County of Southampton, be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Supply.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty.
