Earl of Nottingham's Estate.

MR. Dolben reported from the Committee, to whom the ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the Exchange of certain Advowsons between the Bishop of London and the Earl of Nottingham, was committed, That they had examined and considered the same; and had directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment: And he delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

The Bill was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass.

Ordered, That Mr. Dolben do carry the Bill to the Lords, and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Blathwaite have Leave to go into the Country for Ten Days, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Kerry's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for vesting the Estate of Edward Kerry Esquire, lying in Bin-Weston, in the County of Salop, in Trustees, to discharge Incumbrances thereon, aad to raise Portions for younger Children; and for confirming the Marriage-Settlement of the said Edward Kerry; was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Price, Mr. Kinaston, Mr. Foley, Mr. Baldwyn, Mr. Watlington, Sir Tho. Middleton, Mr. Blaake, Mr. Hammond, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Hobby, Mr. Dolben, Mr. Thornhagh, Mr. Moor, Mr. Edw. Kinaston, Mr. Vaughan, Mr. Devereux, Mr. Tho. Foley, Sir Robert Burdet, Sir Fra. Molyneux, Mr. Manley, Mr. Gery, Mr. Banks, Sir Edward Seaward, Mr. Shakerley, Colonel Granvile, Mr. Tredenham, Mr. Brotherton, Sir John Robinson, Sir Fran. Windham; and all that serve for the Counties of Salop and Hereford: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Bridlington Harboms.

Sir William Strickland, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for the Repair of the Piers of Bridlington Bay, in the East Riding of the County of York: And the same was received.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

General Naturalization.

Ordered, That the Bill for a general Naturalization be read the First time To-day, at Twelve a Clock.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Colonel Rolls have Leave to go into the Country for Ten Days, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Panton's Estate.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cook and Mr. Meredeth:

Mr. Speaker,

The Lords have passed a Bill, intituled, An Act for vesting Part of the Estate of Thomas Panton Esquire in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts, and securing a Jointure to Mary his Wife: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Ordered, That Mr. Venables have Leave to go into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Preventing Corruption of Jurors.

A Bill to prevent the Bribing and Corrupting of Jurors was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Harley, Sir Wm. Scawen, Lord Coningsby, Mr. Colt, Mr. Blaake, Mr. Dolben, Mr. Moyle, Mr. Sloane, Mr. Manley, Mr. Baldwyn, Mr. Gery, Sir Robert Cotton, Mr. Heveningham, Mr. Pelham, Mr. Norris, Mr. Harcourt, Mr. Burrington, Sir Wm. Williams, Sir Richard Onslow, Sir Wm. Lowther, Mr. Boyle, Mr. Mawdit, Mr. Palmes, Lord Ranelagh, Sir Henry Colt, Sir Phil. Butler, Mr. Moor, Mr. Clark: And all that come are to have Voices: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chambers.

Capture of Ostend Ships.

The House being informed, That Mr. Bridgman, and Mr. Bowen attended, according to Order;

They were called in; and they gave the House an Account of the Matter relating to the Petition of the Merchants trading to Ostend, and other Ports of Flanders:

And several of the Petitioners were also called in; and examined touching the same.

And then withdrew.

And a Letter was delivered in to the House, written from Ostend, dated the 15th instant, New Stile, to Mr. Bowen, and received by him the 8th instant, Old Stile:

Which Letter was read; giving an Account of the Dunkirk Squadron being gone out to intercept a Fleet bound from Ireland and Topsham to Ostend: An Abstract of which Letter was sent to the Secretary of the Admiralty the 9th Instant.

Resolved, That the Letter of Intelligence from Ostend, which was laid before the Lords of the Admiralty, in relation to the Ships coming from Ireland and Topsham, was a sufficient Ground for them to communicate the Intelligence therein to the Port of Dover, and other Ports, for the greater Security of Trade.

General Naturalization.

Ordered, That the Bill for a general Naturalization be read the First time upon Monday Morning next, at Twelve a Clock; and nothing to intervene.

African Company.

Resolved, That this House will, upon this Day Sevennight, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for regulating and setting the Trade to Africa.

Supply.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Motion, made on Thursday last, for a Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for the Support of the Civil List, for the Year 1697.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had considered the Matter to them referred, and had come to a Resolution; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made upon Monday Morning next.

Bringing in Plate to be coined.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for encouraging Persons to bring in their wrought Plate, to be coined, was committed, be made upon Monday Morning.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
