JAMES Teittoniere Dayrolle took the Oaths appointed, in order to his Naturalization.

Bigg's Estate.

Sir William Honywood, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill for vesting certain Lands of Thomas Biggs, and Elizabeth his Wife, lying in Chislet, in the County of Kent, in Trustees, for Payment of Debts, and making Provision for their Children: And the Bill was received.

Ordered, That the said Bill be read upon Wednesday Morning next.

Sand's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for vesting a Moiety of the Manor of Shepton-Mallett, in the County of Somerset, and a divided Moiety of the Manor of Wells, in the said County, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of a Mortagage charged thereupon; and for making a Provision for the Maintence of Mary the Wife of William Sands Esquire, and her Children; was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Sir Robert Cotton, Sir Marm. Wyvell, Mr. Baldwyn, Sir Fra. Massam, Mr. Shackerly, Mr. Fuller, Mr. Monson, Mr. Brotherton, Sir Tho. Roberts, Sir John Kay, Mr. Gardner, Mr. Serjeant Coward, Mr. Osborne, Sir John Bolles, Mr. Bickerstaff, Mr. Blofeild, Mr. Bagnold, Mr. Freke, Mr. Hooper, Mr. Bertie, Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Ashby, Mr. Varney, Sir Edw. Ernly, Sir Cha. Windham, Mr. Harcourt, Mr. Stonehouse, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Lowther, Mr. Harrison, Mr. Moore, and Mr. England; and all that serve for the County of Somerset: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Sand's Estate.

A Petition of William Banks Gentleman was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That the Petitioner lent William Sands Esquire, upon his Marriage with Mary his now Wife, the Sum of 300 l.; and afterwards, viz. in Michaelmas Term 1687, obtained a Judgement against him for 540 l.; which is not yet paid: That the Petitioner finds, by the printed Votes, that an Act is now passing, intituled, An Act for vesting a Moiety of the Manor of Shepton-Mallett, in the County of Somersett, and a divided Moiety of the Manor of Wells, in the said County, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of a Mortgage charged thereon; and for making a Provision for the Maintenance of Mary the Wife of William Sandes Esquire, and her Children; whereby, the Petitioner will lose his said 540 l. almost to his Ruin: And praying, That a Clause may be inserted in the said Bill, to save the Petitioner's Right.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee, to whom the said Bill is committed.

Harwich Roads.

A Bill for repairing the Highways between London and Harwich, in the County of Essex, was, according to Order, read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resumed the further Consideration of the ingrossed Bill for granting to his Majesty an Aid of Four Shillings in the Pound for One Year, for carrying on the War against France:

Several Amendments were proposed to be made, by adding "*Collison," a Commissioner for Lincolnshire; and "William," Godsalve, to be made "Thomas;" and 31th of March, to be made "25th" and "20th" to be made "30th."

Which, upon the Question severally put thereupon, were agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended at the Table accordingly.

An ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider, That the Commissioners for putting this Act in Execution shall not allow of any Assessment for any Division or Place, which does not amount to as much as the last Year's Land-Tax for the same Place; unless it shall appear, that such Place is rated at above Four Shillings in the Pound, for the whole yearly Value of the same:

And the same was once read:

And the Question being put, That the Clause be read a Second time;

So it passed in the Negative.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for granting to his Majesty an Aid of Four Shillings in the Pound, for One Year, for carrying on the War against France.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Littleton do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Stoughton's, &c. Estate.

To the Amendments, made by this House, to the Bill, intituled, An Act for vesting the Estate late of Sir Nicholas Stoughton and Sir Lawrence Stoughton Baronets, deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, for the Payment of their Debts; and raising Portions for the Daughters of the said Sir Nicholas Stoughton: And also,

Warner's Estate.

To the Amendments, made by this House, to the Bill, intituled, An Act for enabling the Trustees to sell Part of the Estate of Edmund Warner, deceased, for Payment of his Debts; and for preserving the rest for the Benefit of his Heir.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

Regulating Elections.

Ordered, That the Bill for further Regulating of Elections of Members to serve in Parliament be read a Second time To-morrow Morning.

Commissioners of Accounts.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for taking and stating the publick Accounts.

Ordered, That the House be called over upon this Day Sevennight: And that such Members as shall not then attend the Service of the House, not having Leave to be absent, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House.

Supply.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the War against France.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the Committee, That the Committee had directed him to leave the Chair, to the end he might carry the Bill for granting to his Majesty an Aid of Four Shillings in the Pound, for One Year, for carrying on the War against France, to the Lords; and to move, That they may have Leave to fit again.

Resolved, That this House will, immediately after the said Bill is carried to the Lords, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the War against France.

Marshal's Court.

A Petition of the Prothonotary, Counsel, and Attornies, of the Palace-Court, in behalf of themselves, and other Members of the said Court, was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That the Bill, now depending in the House, to regulate and restrain the Proceedings of the Palace Court at Westminster, called the Marshal's Court, will deprive the Petitioners of their Places therein, which they are intitled to for Life; and will also take away the Means of recovering Debts in a short time, at small Expence, to the Prejudice of Retail-Trade, and the Publick: And praying, That they may be heard, by their Counsel, at the Bar of the House, against the said Bill.

Ordered, That the Petition do lie upon the Table until the said Bill be read a Second time.

Recovery of Small Tythes.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Thursday Morning next, take into Consideration the Amendments, made by the Lords, to the Bill for the more easy Recovery of small Tythes.

Supply Bill; Duties on Wines, &c.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Wednesday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for continuing several Duties, granted by former Acts, upon Wine and Vinegar, and upon Tobacco, and East-India Goods, and other Merchandize, imported, for carrying on the War against France.

Blechingly Election.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, touching the Election for the Borough of Blechingly, in the County of Surrey, be made upon Wednesday Morning next.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Taylor have Leave to go into the Country for Ten Days, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Supply.

The House, according to Order, resolved itself again into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Supply to be granted to his Majesty, for carrying on the War against France.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee. That they had made a further Progress in the Matter to them referred; and had come to several Resolutions; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made To-morrow Morning.

Sir Thomas Littleton also acquainted the House, That he was directed by the said Committee to move, That they may have Leave to fit again.
