Prayers.

Duehy of Cornwall Leasing.

A BILL to enable their Majesties to make Grants Leases, and Copies of Offices, Lands, and Hereditaments, Parcel of their Duchy of Cornwall, or annexed to the same; and for Confirmation of Leases and Grants already made, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Boscowen, Mr. Goldwell, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Travers, Mr. Buller, Mr. Lutterell, Lord Wm. Pawlet, Mr. Christy, Mr. Henly, Sir John Key, Mr. Pigot, Mr. England, Mr. Biddulph, Sir John Moreton, Sir Tho. Samwell, Major Vincent, Mr. Waller, Sir Fr. Guibon, Sir John Dorrell, Mr. Trelawny, Mr. Cooke, Mr. Burdet, Mr. Fuller, Sir Wm. Honywood, Sir Fr. Drake; and all the Members that serve for Devon and Cornwall: And they are to meet at Four of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: And it is to be an Instruction to the said Committee, That they do consider of the Fees for making the said Leases, Grants, and Copies.

Privilege— A Person petitions for Discharge.

A Petition of Edward Smith, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for a Breach of Privilege committed against Sir Thomas Miller, a Member of this House, was presented to the House.

Ordered, That the said Petition do lie upon the Table.

Ordered, That the Examination and Consideration of the Matter of the Complaint of Sir Thomas Miller, a Member of this House, on Saturday last, of a Breach of Privilege, in serving him with a Subpœna, and Order thereunto annexed, out of the Court of Exchequer, be referred to the Committee of Privileges and Elections: And that they do report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Ordered, That Edward Smith, now in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, do attend the said Committee.

Importing Thrown Silk.

A Bill for the Importation of fine Italian, Sicilian, and Naples Thrown-Silk, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed.

And a Motion being made, and the Question being put, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

It passed in the Negative.

Ordered, That Sir Francis Vincent have Leave to go into the Country, for Recovery of his Health.

Treaties of Alliances, &c.

Mr. Secretary Trenchard acquainted the House, That his Majesty, in pursuance of their Address, had been pleased to command him to lay before this House the Offensive Treaties and Alliances his Majesty is now under with the Confederates, and an Account of the Proportion of Forces of the several Consederates, for the carrying on this War the next Year: And that, as to the Treaties, they were the same which were formerly before the House, except one new Treaty with the Elector of Hanover; the Original whereof, together with the Translation, as also the Account of the Proportion of Forces, he delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were read: And,

The Proportion of Forces is as followeth; viz.

An ACCOUNT of the Proportion of Forces of the several Consederates, for carrying on this War the next Year.

Supply.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Eleven a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Supply to be granted to their Majesties, for the Maintenance of the Land-Forces for the Year 1694.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the List of the Land-Forces, and of the said Treaty with the Elector of Hanover, and the Account of the Proportion of Forces, be referred to the said Committee of the whole House.

Pensions to Members of Parliament.

Ordered, That the Commissioners for taking the publick Accounts do, To-morrow Morning, lay before this House an Account of all the Pensions, Salaries, and Sums of Money, paid or payable to Members of Parliament, out of the Revenue, or otherwise.

Ways and Means.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supplies to be granted to their Majesties for the Maintenance of the Fleet; and of Ways and Means for raising the Money deficient upon the Million-Bill, and Bill for Review of the Quarterly Poll.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Sir Thomas Littleton took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Sir Thomas Littleton reported from the said Committee, That they had made some further Progress in the Matters to them referred; and had come to several Resolutions, which they had directed him to report to the House, when the House would please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made To-morrow Morning, at Eleven a Clock.

Sir Thomas Littleton also acquainted the House, That he was directed by the said Committee to move, That they may have Leave to fit again.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Monday Morning next, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply to be granted to their Majesties, for the Maintenance of the Fleet.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
