Prayers.

Fees in Law Courts.

THE Titles of the several Tables of Fees of the several Courts in Westminster-hall, Clerks of the Peace for the Counties of Middlesex and Surrey, and Clerks of the Assize of the Home Circuit, presented to the House, according to Order, were read.

Resolved, That the Examination and Consideration of the said Tables of Fees be referred to a Committee; and that they do report their Opinion therein to the House.

And it is referred to Mr. Waller, Mr. Colt, Mr. Christy, Sir John Dorrell, Mr. Bulkley, Sir Richard Hart, Mr. Newport, Mr. Wilmott, Colonel Titus, Mr. Stokes, Mr. Bickerstaffe, Colonel Granville, Mr. Palmes, Mr. Butler, Mr. Carter, Mr. Freke, Sir Edward Hussey, Sir S. Bernadiston, Mr. How, Sir John Guise, Mr. Lutterell, Sir William York, Sir John Moreton, Mr. Norreis, Mr. Price, Mr. Chetwynd, Mr. Blowfeild, Mr. Bromley, Sir Roger Puleston, Mr. Goldwell, Mr. Fenwick, Sir Chr. Musgrave, Sir Phil. Butler: And they are to meet Tomorrow in the Afternoon, at Four a Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And they are to have Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Ordered, That the Auditor of North Wales and South Wales do, by this Day Sevennight, present to this House an Account of the Fees of his Office.

Ordered, That the Receivers of North Wales and South Wales do, by this Day Sevennight, present to this House an Account of the Fees of their respective Offices.

Ordered, That the Officers and Servants belonging to the Judges of Westminster-hall, and Circuits, do, by this Day Sevennight, present to this House a Table of their respective Fees.

Ordered, That the Judge and Officers of the Court of Admiralty do, by this Day Sevennight, present to this House a Table of their respective Fees.

Justices of Peace in Wales.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill to repeal a Clause, in the Act of 34th and 35th of King Henry the Eighth, by which the Justices of the Peace in Wales are limited in each County: And that Mr. Lloyd do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.

Hawkers and Pedlars.

Mr. Christy and Mr. Sandford, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill against Hawkers and Pedlars: And the same was received, and read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Privilege.

A Complaint being made to the House, That Henry Withers had caused Richard Leadbiter, and Kellam Smith, Bailiffs, to arrest Francis Mason, a menial Servant of Mr. Palmes, a Member of this House, knowing him to be his Servant, in Breach of the Privilege of this House.

Ordered, That the said Henry Withers, Richard Leadbiter, and Kellam Smith, be sent for, in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for the same.

5th Eliz. respecting Cloth Weavers.

Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Bill for Repeal of the 32d Article in the Act of 5° Eliz. containing divers Orders for Artificers, and others, relating to Weavers of Cloth, is committed, have Power to bring in a Clause in the said Bill, to prevent the Exportation of all Earth and Clay whatsoever.

Money given for Naval Services.

Ordered, That the Debate upon the Objections to the State, laid before this House by the Commissioners for the publick Accompts, of what Money had been given for the Maintenance of the Fleet during the War, and what they had received thereof, be adjourned until Monday Morning next.

Call of the House.

Ordered, That the Call of the House be adjourned until Monday Morning next.

Miscarriages of the Fleet.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, proceeded further in the Enquiry into the Miscarriages of the Fleet the last Summer.

And John Rutter, Daniell Castle, Major Churchill, Mr. Samuell Alston, Sir Fran. Child, Lieutenant Thomas Williams, Captain Canning, Rice Tudwell, Michaell Wall, Thomas Hind, and William Powell, were severally called in, and examined touching the Matter of the said Enquiry.

And afterwards, Admiral Killigrew, and the said John Rutter, were called in together, and asked several Questions; to which they answered.

And then withdrew.

Sir Cloudesly Shovell, and the said John Rutter, were called in, and asked several Questions; to which they answered.

And withdrew:

Sir Ralph Delavall, and the said John Rutter, were called in, and asked several Questions; to which they answered.

And then withdrew.

Captain Kerr, and the said John Rutter, were called in, and asked several Questions; to which they answered.

And then withdrew.

Candles.

Ordered, That Candles be brought in.

Then Admiral Killigrew, Sir Cloudesly Shovell, and Sir Ralph Delavall, were called in, and heard.

And then withdrew.

And the Question being put, That it does appear to this House, that the Admirals that commanded the Fleet the last Summer, had, on the Eleventh Day of May last, Information that Part of the Brest Fleet was going out to Sea;

The House divided.

The Yeas go forth.

So it passed in the Negative.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
