Prayers.

St. Maw's Election.

ORDERED, That Phillip Meadowes Esquire be at Liberty to withdraw his Petition, touching the Election for the Borough of St. Maws, in the County of Cornwall.

Answer to Address.

Sir Henry Goodrick acquainted the House, That their Address having been presented to his Majesty, That he would please to grant a Reprieve for Thomas White, a Prisoner in Newgate, for some further time; his Majesty was pleased to say, That he would reprieve the said Thomas White for Ten Days longer.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

Mr. Lowndes reported from the Committee appointed to prepare a Bill for granting an Aid to his Majesty, as well by a Land-Tax, as by several Subsidies, and other Duties, payable for One Year, That they had prepared a Bill accordingly; which they had directed him to present to the House, and which he delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time, Tomorrow Morning.

Ways and Means.

Resolved, That this House will, upon this Day Sevennight, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of Ways and Means for raising the Supply granted to his Majesty, for making good the Deficiency of the Provision for Payment of the Interest of the Transport-Debt, for the Reducing of Ireland.

Ditto.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means for raising the Supply granted to his Majesty, for making good the Deficiency in re-coining hammered Money; and the Recompence to be given for bringing Plate into the Mints, to be coined.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

The Lord Coningsby took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

The Lord Coningsby reported from the said Committee, That they had considered the Matter to them referred; and had come to several Resolutions; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made To-morrow Morning.

Ditto.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Monday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of Ways and Means for raising the 840,000 l. charged upon the Duties laid upon Salt, and upon Coals and Culm, and Tonage of Ships, taken away the last Session of Parliament; for which the Provision then made proved defective.

Bringing in Plate to be coined.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Tuesday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill for encouraging Persons to bring wrought Plate into the Mints to be coined.

Committees.

A Motion being made, and the Question being put, That all Committees be adjourned;

It passed in the Negative.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
