Milford's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Trustees to sell the Manor of Pespoole, in the County of Durham, Part of the Estate of William Milford, an Infant, for Payment of Debts and Incumbrances charged thereon; and for preserving the rest of the said Infant's Estate; was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Heron's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to enable Sir Charles Heron Baronet to sell Lands, for Payment of a Portion, and Debts, was read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Mr. Polteny, Sir Marm. Wivell, Mr. Liddall, Sir Cha. Keymish, Mr. Colt, Lord Ashley, Mr. Farrer, Mr. Drake, Sir John Bolles, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Brewer, Sir John Bucknall, Mr. England, Sir Tho. Dyke, Mr. Watlington, Mr. Tredenham, Mr. Blofeild, Mr. Manley, Sir Richard Atkyns, Mr. Mountague, Sir John Manwaring, Mr. Pocklington, Mr. Parker, Mr. Travers, Mr. Conyers, Mr. Aislaby, Mr. Frewen, Mr. Foster, Mr.Stokes, Sir Robert Cotton, Sir John Trevillian, Mr. Baldwyn, Mr. Halsey, Sir Wm. Ashurst, Mr. Biddolph; and all the Members that serve for the Counties of Northumberland, Cumberland, and Durham: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Thest, &c.on Northern Borders.

Mr. Bickerstaffe reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill for continuing several former Acts to prevent Theft and Rapine upon the Northern Borders was committed, That they had examined and considered the same; and made an Amendment thereunto; which they had directed him to report to the House; and which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was twice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, disagreed unto by the House: And another Amendment was made to the Bill at the Table.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

Beam Heath Inclosure.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for inclosing and improving Part of the Common of Beam Heath, near Namptwich, in the County Chester, in order to raise a Stock for the Maintenance of the Poor of the said Town, and for setting them on Work: And that Sir John Manwaring and Sir Robert Cotton do prepare, and bring in, the Bill.

Hebeas Corpus Suspension.

A Bill for impowering his Majesty to apprehend, and detain, such Persons as he shall find Cause to suspect are conspiring against his Royal Person, or Government, was, according to Order, read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the said Bill.

Sitting of Parliament on Demise of the Crown.

Mr. Pelham, according to Order, presented to the House a Bill, That whenever it shall please God to afflict these Realms by the Death of his present Majesty, the Parliament then in being shall not be dissolved thereby; but shall continue until the next Heir to the Crown in Succession, according to the late Act of Settlement, shall dissolve the same.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time Tomorrow Morning.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir Thomas Stanley have Leave to go into the Country for Three Weeks, upon extraordinary Occasions.

Punishing Mutiny and Desertion.

The House, according to the Order of the Day, resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for continuing several former Acts for punishing Officers, and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert his Majesty's Service; and for punishing false Musters; and Payment of Quarters; and also of the Bill for raising the Militia for the Year 1696, although the Month's Pay, formerly advanced, be not repaid.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

The Lord Coningsby took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

The Lord Coningsby reported from the said Committee, That they had gone through both the Bills; and made several Amendments to them; which they had directed him to report, when the House will please to receive the same.

Ordered, That the said Report be made upon Friday Morning next.

Supply Bill; Duties on Wines, &c.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning, take into further Consideration the Report from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for continuing several Duties, granted by former Acts, upon Wine and Vinegar, and upon Tobacco, East-India Goods, and other Merchandize, imported, for carrying on the War against France, was committed.

Encouraging Seamen.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for the Increase and Encouragement of Seamen was committed, be made upon Saturday Morning next.

State of the Nation.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Monday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the State of the Nation in relation to Trade; and particularly of the African Trade.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine a Clock.
