A BILL for the naturalizing Henry Sheibell, and others, was read the Second time.

Mannock's Estate.

Mr. Goldwell reported from the Committee to whom the ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for the enabling Sir Will. Mannock, Baronet, to charge his Estate for the raising his younger Children Portions, was committed, That they had examined and considered the same; and had directed him to report the Bill to the House without any Amendments: And he delivered the same in at the Table.

Butter and Cheese Trade.

A Petition of divers Cheesemongers, and Dealers in Butter and Cheese, in the Cities and Suburbs of the Cities of London and Westminster, on the Behalf of themselves and others, was read; setting forth, That there being a Bill now depending in this House, intituled, An Act for preventing Abuses in Packing and Weighing of Butter and Cheese, carried on by the Farmers and Sellers of Butter and Cheese in Suffolk, and some few Cheesemongers in London, to render the Statute of 14 Car. II. useless, which sufficiently provides against such Offences; that the Petitioners are sensible the Bill is frivolous, and will be prejudicial to Trade in general; and praying to be heard against the said Bill before it pass.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee to whom the Bill for preventing Abuses in Packing and Weighing of Butter and Cheese is committed: And that Mr. Carter, Mr. Prideaux, Mr. Bickerstaffe, Mr. Hungerford, Sir Joseph Herne, Sir Tho. Vernon, Mr. Morris, Mr. Norreys, Colonel Rolles, Mr. Rudge, be added to the said Committee.

Osbaston's Estate.

A Bill for the Sale of the Estate of Francis Osbaston, for Payment of Ten thousand Pounds Portion to Mary Osbaston, and of the Arrears of several Annuities of Two hundred Pounds, and Four hundred Pounds per Annum, chargeable upon the said Estate, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Lord Colchester, Sir Wilf. Lawson, Mr. Palmes, Sir John Guise, Colonel Granville, Sir Car. Price, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Arnold, Mr. Gray, Mr. Price, Colonel Beaumont, Mr. Greenfield, Mr. Newport, Mr. England, Sir Tho. Mompesson, Mr. Bowyer, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Mr. Speke, Mr. Ash, Mr. Burdet, Mr. Gwynn, Mr. Golmer, Mr. Bickerstaffe, Sir Math. Wollaston's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for conferring the Sale of certain Woodlands in the County of Southampton, and certain Articles of Agreement made between Isaac Wollaston, and Richard Wollaston, Esquires, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Royal Mines.

Mr. Shackerly reported from the Committee to whom the Bill for removing of Doubts, and preventing Controversies, concerning Royal Mines, and to give to the King the Pre-emption, was committed, That they had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House: And which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and afterwards a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the King's Counsel be heard at the Bar of this House upon Friday Morning next, at Nine a Clock, against the said Bill.

List of Absentees.

Then the List (prepared by the Clerk, according to Order) of the Members of the House, who have had the Leave of the House to go out of Town, was read.

Ordered, That the House be called over on this Day Sevennight.

Supply Bill; Excise.

Then the Order of the Day was read, for the House to resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider farther of the Bill for settling a Fund of Seventy thousand Pounds per Annum, out of the Excise, for paying the Interest of a Million of Money, to be raised by voluntary Payments before the Twenty-fourth of June 1693, the Principal paid in to be sunk, and the Persons paying in the same to receive, during their Lives, their respective Proportions of the said Seventy thousand Pounds per Annum, and with the Advantage of Survivorship.

Resolved, That it be an Instruction to the said Committee, That they have Power to bring in a Clause, That, in case the whole Sum of Ten hundred thousand Pounds shall not be brought in by a certain time, there be allowed an Increase of Interest, by way of Annuity, without the Benefit of Survivorship.

Then the House resolved itself, according to the said Order, into a Committee of the whole House, to consider farther of the said Bill.

Mr. Attorney General took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Attorney General reported from the said Committee, That they had made a farther Progress in the said Bill; and that he was directed by the Committee to move, that they may have Leave to sit again.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider farther of the said Bill.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight a Clock.
