Mountague's Estate.
AN ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act for vesting and settling divers Lands in Gloucestershire, in Trustees, to be sold, for the paying the remaining Portions to the Children of Geo. Mountague, Esquire, deceased, was read the Third time.
Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.
Ordered, That Mr. Mountague do carry the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed to the same, without any Amendments.
St. Anne's Westminster Parish.
Sir Walter Clarges reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for the supplying the Defects in a former Act, for the erecting the Parish of St. Anne, out of the Parish of St. Martin's in the Fields, was committed, That they had made several Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House: The which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards, delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout.
Then a Petition of the Inhabitants was presented to the House, and read; setting forth, That there is a Bill to supply a former Act to build a Church in the aforesaid Parish, and to perform some other Works in the said Act mentioned: That the Sum of Five thousand Pounds, in the said Act mentioned, was levied and paid, and Four hundred and Fifty Pounds for collecting the same, besides the Money raised by Sale of several Pews and Galleries, amounting to above One thousand Two hundred Pounds more: And that the Petitioners at this time are very poor, and scarce able to answer the great Taxes which the Occasions of the Government now requires; and therefore such a Charge as the said new Bill will lay upon the Parish, will be a very great Burthen to many of the Petitioners: And praying the Consideration of the House in the Premises, and Relief therein.
And then the said Amendments, being read a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, the same, with several other Amendments made by the House, were agreed unto by the House.
Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.
Drax's Estate.
An ingrossed Bill from the Lords, intituled, An Act to vest the Estate late of Henry Drax, Esquire, deceased, in Tho. Shatterden, Gentleman, and to enable the said Tho. Shatterden, and others, to whom the said Estate is devised, to make a Jointure, was read the Second time.
Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Lord Eland, Mr. Biddolph, Mr. Freeman, Mr. Windham, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Mr. Baile, Sir Tho. Clarges, Mr. Thornhaugh, Sir Math. Andrews, Mr. Shackerly, Mr. White, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Hutchinson, Sir Rob. Cotton, Colonel Granvile, Sir Sam. Grimston, Serjeant Trenchard, Sir Cha. Bloys, Mr. Hawtry, Mr. Kenyon, Sir Wm. Cooke, Mr. Bromly, Mr. How, Mr. Henley, Mr. Cooke, Mr. Lutterell, Mr. Slater, Mr. Bedding feild, Colonel Lee, Sir Wm. Honywood, and all the Members that serve for the County of Hertford: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.
Newcastle under Line Election.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Newcastle under Line, in the County of Stafford, in the room of Sir Wm. Leveson Gower, Baronet, deceased.
Leave of Absence.
Ordered, That Sir Edward Windham have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight, to attend the Funeral of Sir Wm. Leveson Gowre, his Father-in-law.
Ordered, That Mr. Seymour have Leave to go into the Country for a Fortnight, his Lady being ill.
Supply Bill; Land Tax.
An ingrossed Bill (according to the Order of the Day) for granting to their Majesties the Sum of Sixteen hundred fifty-one thousand Seven hundred and Two Pounds upon Lands, towards the carrying, on a vigorous War against France, was read the Third time.
An ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider to the Bill; For * * * *.
And the same was thrice read; and, with some Amendments made by the House, was, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be Part of the Bill.
Another ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider to the Bill; That no Fees shall be taken by any Officer of the Exchequer, for the receiving or issuing any Monies granted by this Parliament for Aids or Supplies, but such ancient Fees as shall be allowed by the Barons of the Exchequer: And the Barons are to present a Schedule of the said Fees to the House of Commons at the next Sessions.
And the same was thrice read; and upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be Part of the Bill.
Resolved, Nemine contradicente, That the said Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for granting an Aid to their Majesties of the Sum of Sixteen hundred fifty-one thousand Seven hundred and Two Pounds Eighteen Shillings towards the carrying on a vigorous War against France.
Ordered, That Mr. Solicitor General do carry the Bill to the Lords; and desire their Concurrence thereunto.
Brackley Writ.
Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ for the electing a Burgess to serve in this present Parliament for the Borough of Brackley in the County of Northampton, in the room of Sir Wm. Egerton, deceased.

The King commands this honourable House to attend his Majesty in the House of Peers, immediately.

An Act for granting to their Majesties certain impositions upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for one Year.
An Act for abrograting the Oath of Supremacy in Ireland, and appointing other Oaths.
An Act for preserving two Ships Lading of Bay Salt, taken as Prize for the Benefit of their Majesties Navy.
An Act for the better ascertaining the Tythes of Hemp and Flax.
An Act for the making a Twelve Years Lease, made by the Earl and Countess of Ailsbury, for Payment of Debts, which was determinable on their Deaths, to have Continuance absolutely for those Twelve Years.
An Act for the settling a Fee Farm Rent of One Hundred Pounds per Annum upon the Bishop of Ely and his Successors to be issuing out of Hatton Garden in the County of Middlesex, and the Messuages thereunto erected; and for the settling and assuring the same, subject to the said Rent, upon Christopher Lord Viscount Hatton, his Heirs and Assigns for ever.
An Act to enable the Executors and Trustees of Sir Tho. Putt, Baronet, deceased, to lease several Messuages, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, during the Minority of Sir Tho. Putt, Baronet, Son and Heir of the said Sir Thomas Putt towards the Payment of Five hundred Pounds apiece Legacies to his Three Sisters Margaret, Ursula, and Susanna Putt, as also the Debts of the said Sir Tho. Putt, the Father.
An Act for naturalizing Sir Martyn Beckman, and others.
An Act for Sale of the Manor of, and Lands in Wittering in the County of Northampton, and the Advowson of the Church of Wittering aforesaid, late the Inheritance of Wm. Stydolph, Esquire, deceased, late Father of Sigismond Stydolph, Esquire.
