Dr. Sharpe thanked.

ORDERED, That the Thanks of this House be given, by Sir Jos. Williamson and Mr. Shadrach Vincent, to Doctor Sharpe the Dean of Canterbury, for his Sermon preached Yesterday before this House at St. Margaret's Westminster: And that he be desired to print the same.

Protestant foreign Weavers.

A Bill for confirming the Liberties of such Protestant Foreign Weavers, as are admitted into the Company of Weavers of the City of London, was read the Second time.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

Commissioners of Accompts.

Then the House took into their further Consideration the Bill for appointing and enabling Commissioners to take the Accompts of all publick Monies, since the Fifth November 1688.

And the House being acquainted, that Mr. Kent, one of the Commissioners appointed, was an Accomptant to their Majesties; and he desiring to be excused;

Ordered, That the Name of Mr. Kent be struck out: And that Mr. Thomas Coulson, of London, Merchant, be inserted a Commissioner, instead of the said Mr. Kent.

Then the Blanks in the Bill were filled up with the Commissioners Names agreed upon by the House; for them, or any Five of them, to execute the Powers in the Bill; and also the Blanks for the Sums to be paid to the Clerks, and other Officers: And several other Amendments were proposed and agreed upon; and the Bill amended accordingly.

Ordered, That Sir Christopher Musgrave, Mr. Foley, Sir Wm. Whitlock, Sir Mat. Andrews, Colonel Birch, do withdraw; and prepare and bring in a Clause for a Salary or Allowance to be given to the Commissioners executing the Powers in the said Bill.

And they withdrew accordingly.

And being returned.

Sir Wm. Whitlock reports: That they had prepared a Clause, with a Blank for the Sum: Which he presented to the House.

And the Clause was twice read.

Resolved, That the Blank be filled up with Five hundred Pounds.

Resolved, That the Clause be made Part of the Bill.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

London Markets.

Ordered, That Sir Fran. Guybon, Sir Math. Andrews, Mr. Bockenham, Mr. Cary, Lord Ranelagh, Mr. Whitehead, Sir Ralph Dutton, Sir Tho. Mompesson, Sir Rob. Rich, Mr. England, Sir John Cutler, be added to the Committee, to whom the Petition of several Persons of divers Callings, who keep the Markets in the City of London, * * * * .

A Message from the Lords, by Mr. Justice Eyres and Mr. Baron Turton;

Act of Grace.

Mr. Speaker, His Majesty has been pleased to send this Bill, intituled, An Act for the King and Queen's Majesties most gracious, general, and free Pardon: Which the Lords have accepted; and passed, Nemine contradicente, and now send it down to this House.

And then the Messengers withdrew.

The said Bill was read.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be agreed to.

Ordered, That Mr. Solicitor General do carry the Bill to the Lords; and acquaint them, That this House hath agreed thereunto.

Precedents of Messages with Acts of Grace.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to search Precedents, and to prepare Reasons to be offered at a Conference with the Lords, upon the Message from the Lords to this House, with the Bill for the King and Queen's Majesties most gracious, general, and free Pardon.

And it is referred unto Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sir Jos. Tredenham, Master of the Rolls, Lord Falkland, Sir Edw. Seymour, Colonel Granvile, Mr. Paul Foley, Lord Wm. Pawlet, Sir Christopher Musgrave, Sir Rob. Rich, Mr. Finch, Sir Rob. Howard, Mr. Solicitor General, Sir Tho. Lee, Colonel Birch, Serjeant Wogan, Mr. Dalben, Sir Jos. Williamson, Sir Tho. Clarges, Colonel Austen, Sir John Guise, Mr. Boscawen, Mr. Bowyer, Mr. Montague; or any Three of them: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber; and to make their Report to the House To-morrow Morning.

Securing Government against Rebellion.

Resolved, That the House will, To-morrow Morning, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for securing the publick Peace, and preventing the Designs of Papists, and other disaffected Persons to their Majesties Government.

Weavers Company.

A Petition of the Livery and Liege Master Weavers, Natives and Freemen of the Company of Weavers, was presented to the House.

Ordered, That the said Petition be read, before the Bill touching the Protestant Foreign Weavers be read the Third time.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
