PRAYERS.

Yorke Return amended.

THE Clerk of the Crown attending, according to the Order of Saturday last;

He was called in; and amended the Return for the City of Yorke, by taking from off the File the Indenture, by which Robert Waller, Esquire, and Edw. Thomson, Esquire, were returned:

Aldbrough Return amended.

And also amended the Return for the Borough of Aldbrough, by taking from off the File the Indenture, by which John Boyle, Esquire, and John Vandenbend, Esquire, were returned:

Knaresbrough Return amended.

And also amended the Return for the Borough of Knaresbrough, by taking from off the File the Indenture by which * Stockdale, Esquire, and Sir Henry Slingsby, were returned.

New Windsor Return amended.

And the Mayor of the Borough of New Windsor also attending;

He was called in; and made a Return of an Indenture, by which Sir Cha. Porter, and Wm. Adderly, Esquire, were elected: And thereupon the Clerk of the Crown took from off the File the Indenture, by which Sir Christopher Wren, and Bapt. May, Esquire, were returned.

Exporting Coin.

Sir Rich. Reynolds reports from the Committee to whom was referred the Petition of the Working Goldsmiths in and about the City of London; and to whom the former Report thereupon was re-committed: And to prepare a Bill or Bills, as they should see Cause; that they had prepared a Bill to discourage the Exportation of Bullion, and to encourage the Importation; and to the Converting thereof into the current Coin of this Realm: Which he presented to the House.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read the Second time Tomorrow Morning at Ten a Clock.

Protestant foreign Weavers.

A Bill for confirming the Liberties of such Protestant Foreign Weavers, as are admitted into the Company of Weavers of the City of London, was presented to the House.

The Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

The Chaplain.

Resolved, That the Application directed by the last Parliament to be made to his Majesty on the Behalf of Mr. Willet, the then Chaplain to this House, That his Majesty would be pleased to give him some Preferment, in Consideration of his Service and diligent Attendance, be humbly renewed to his Majesty: And that the same be done by the Master of the Rolls.

Members summoned.

Ordered, That such Gentlemen of the Long Robe as are Members of this House, be, by the Serjeant at Arms, sent for from the several Bars in Westminster Hall, to attend the Service of the House.

Debtors Relief.

An ingrossed Bill for Relief of the poor Prisoners, was read the Third time.

An ingrossed Proviso was offered, as a Rider, to the Bill, That no Prisoners shall have any Benefit by this Act, who are in Prison for Debts to the Amount of above One hundred Pounds: Which was thrice read.

Resolved, That the said Proviso be made Part of the Bill.

Another ingrossed Proviso was offered, as a Rider, to the Bill, That no Person convict of Perjury or Forgery, shall have the Benefit of the Act: Which was thrice read.

Resolved, That the said Proviso be made Part of the Bill.

And afterwards, a Debate arising in the House upon the said Bill;

Resolved, That the Debate be adjourned until Friday Morning next.

Leave for Member to attend Lords.

Ordered, That Sir Charles Porter have Leave to attend the Lords, as Counsel, in a Cause between Forster and Munt.

Commissioners of Accompts.

Then the House proceeded in the further Consideration of the Report upon the Bill for appointing and enabling Commissioners to take an Account of all Publick Monies, since the Fifth of November 1688.

Resolved, That the Number of the said Commissioners, to be appointed, be Nine, and no more.

Resolved, That no Person be a Commissioner, who hath any Office of Profit, or is accountable to their Majesties.

Resolved, That every Member of this House do prepare a List, in Paper, of Nine Persons, whom he shall think fit to be Commissioners in the said Bill, and roll up the same; and put the same into a Glass at the Table Tomorrow Morning at Eleven of the Clock.

And the Question being put, That the several Lists be subscribed by the Member presenting the same;

It passed in the Negative.

Supply Bill; Hereditary Revenue.

Ordered, That Sir Edw. Hussey do carry the Bill for declaring the Hereditary Revenues of the Crown to be vested in their Majesties, to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Paper Manufacture.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have passed the Bill, intituled, An Act for the encouraging and better establishing the Manufacture of White Paper in this Kingdom, without any Amendments.

Securing Government against Rebellion.

Mr. Solicitor General reports from the Committee to whom it was referred to prepare and bring in a Bill for the more effectual securing their Majesties Government against such as conspire to rise in Rebellion, and disturb the Peace of the Kingdom, That they had prepared a Bill accordingly: Which he presented to the House.

The said Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time, Tomorrow Morning, after the List of Commissioners Names for taking the Accompts of the Publick Monies are delivered in.

Hackney Coaches.

Resolved, That the House will, upon Thursday Morning next, at Ten a Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for regulating and licensing Hackney Coaches.

Attainder of Persons in Rebellion.

Ordered, That the Bill for attainting such Persons as are in Rebellion against their Majesties, be read a Second time upon Thursday Morning next.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

And then the House adjourned until To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
