Prayers.

Prideaux's Claim on Lord Jefferyes.

A BILL for the charging the Manors of Dolby and Broughton in Leicestershire, the Estate of the late Lord Jefferyes, with the Sum of Fourteen thousand Seven hundred Sixty Pounds, to be paid to Edmund Prideaux, Esquire, from whom he had extorted the same, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Leave for Member to attend Lords.

Ordered, That Mr. Finch have Leave to attend the House of Lords, as Counsel, in a Cause between Thwaites and Dye.

Indemnifying persons acting for their Majesties.

Sir John Guise reports from the Committee to whom the Bill to prevent vexatious Suits against such as had acted in order to the Bringing in of their present Majesties, or for their Service, was referred, that they had agreed upon several Amendments to be made to the Bill: Which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and then delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where they were once read throughout; and afterwards a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

Wortley's Children's Maintenance.

An ingrossed Bill for settling a Maintenance on the Children of Sidny Wortley alias Montague, Esquire, in case his Wife survive him, was read the Third time.

An ingrossed Clause was offered, as a Rider, to be added to the Bill, to prevent the Wife of the said Mr. Montague from committing Waste upon the said Estate: Which Clause was thrice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House to be made Part of the Bill.

Resolved, That the Bill, with the said Clause, do pass: And that the Title thereof be, An Act for providing Maintenances for the Children of Sidney Wortley, alias Montague, Esquire, during his Wife's Life, in case she survive him.

Ordered, That Mr. Gray do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Edon's Estate.

An ingrossed Bill to enable Thomas Edon, Esquire, to sell Lands to pay Debts, and make Provision for his Wife, in lieu of Jointure, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title thereof be, An Act to enable Tho. Edon, Esquire, to sell Lands for Payment of his Debts, and making a Provision for his Wife and Children, in case they shall have any.

Ordered, That Mr. Christy do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Supply Bill; late Queen Mary's Estate.

A Bill to vest in their present Majesties the Lands granted by the late King James to certain Feoffees in Trust for the late Queen Mary, was read the Second time.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

Supply Bill; Poll Tax.

A Bill for Review of the Poll Bill, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That the House do, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed upon the said Bill.

Reversing Armstrong's Attainder.

Mr. Christy reports from the Committee, to whom the Bill for the annulling the Attainder of Sir Tho. Armstrong, was referred, That they had agreed upon several Amendments to be made in the Bill: Which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and then delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where they were once read throughout; and afterwards, the First of them a Second time; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

The Second of the said Amendments being read a Second time;

Resolved, That the Bill be re-committed to the same Committee: And they are to meet this Afternoon: And that it be an Instruction to the Committee, That they do examine, Who were the Prosecutors and Advisers of the Prosecution of the said Sir Thomas Armstrong: And also, That they make a further Inquiry of what Losses Sir Tho. Armstrong's Family sustained, by reason of his Attainder.

Ordered, That Mr. Grey, Sir Wm. Strickland, Mr. Bickerstaffe, Sir Rowland Gwyne, Sir Wm. Forrester, Sir Fra. Drake, Sir Fra. Blake, be added to the said Committee.

Supply Bill; Land Tax.

An ingrossed Bill for an additional Tax of Twelvepence in the Pound for one Year, was read the Third time.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title thereof be, An Act for a Grant to their Majesties of an additional Aid of Twelve-pence in the Pound for One Year.

Ordered, That Mr. Hampden do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.
