Edon's Estate.

A PETITION of Thomas Edon, Esquire, and Mr. George Beckford, Mr. Edmund Estcourt, and Mr. James Fish, Creditors of the said Thomas Edon, was read; setting forth, That the Petitioner Edon is indebted to the rest of the Petitioners, and others, in several Sums of Money: And that the said Edon is lawfully possessed of divers Lands in Bookeing, Braintree, and Hanvill; in the County of Essex; which Estate he was willing should be sold for the Payment of his Debts (which cannot be done without an Act of Parliament); and to make Provision for his Wife, in lieu of her Jointure: And that all Persons, claiming any Interest therein, are consenting that such Act should pass; and praying Leave to bring in a Bill accordingly.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill accordingly.

Punishing Mutiny and Desertion.

Colonel Tipping reports from the Committee, to whom the Clause offered to be added to the ingrossed Bill, sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act for punishing Officers and Soldiers who shall mutiny, or desert their Majesties Service, and for punishing false Musters, was referred, That several Amendments were agreed to be made to the Clause: Which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards, delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table.

And the House conceiving, That no such Amendments ought to have been reported, but the Clause itself reported, as agreed upon at the Committee;

Resolved, That the said Clause be recommitted to the said Committee: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

A Motion being made, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for settling the Corporation of Nottingham, in respect of some Particulars, wherein the Case of that Corporation differs from others;

Supply Bill; collecting Revenue.

Resolved, That the ingrossed Bill for Continuance of the collecting the Revenue for a Year from Christmas next, be now read the Third time.
