Prayers.

Leave of Absence.

ORDERED, That Mr. Colt have Leave to go into the Country, for Three Weeks upon urgent Occasions.

Lord Hereford's Jointure.

An ingrossed Bill sent down from the Lords, intituled, An Act for enabling the Lord Viscount Hereford to settle a Jointure on his Marriage with Eliz. Norborne, notwithstanding his Minority, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read the Second time.

Greenwich Court of Conscience.

Mr. Christy reports from the Committee to whom the Bill for erecting a Court of Conscience at Greenwich, and other Towns within the Hundred of Blackheath, was recommitted, That they had agreed upon an Amendment to be made to the Bill: Which he read in his Place, with the Coherence; and afterwards delivered the same in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same was twice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

A Clause was offered to be made Part of the Bill, to save the Rights of the Courts of Lords of Manors within the said Hundred: Which was twice read; and, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill be ingrossed.

Wounded Seamen.

Resolved, That a Committee be appointed to consider, How a Provision may be made for such Seamen as are or shall be wounded or disabled in their Majesties Service, or in Merchants Ships; and for the Wives and Children of such as are or shall be slain therein.

And it is referred to Colonel Greenvile, Sir Cha Raleigh, Mr. Vincent, Mr. Hawtry, Sir Rob. Rich, Sir Tho. Darcy, Mr. Arnold, Sir Mat. Andrews, Sir Chris. Musgrave, Mr. Buscawen, Mr. Reynolds, Colonel Churchill, Sir John Wyn, Mr. Papillion, Mr. Reynell, Mr. Niccolls, Sir Tho. Littleton, Sir John Doyley, Lord Fitzharding, Sir Wm. Cooke, Sir Fra. Russell, Sir John Moreton, Sir Tho. Clarges, Sir Tho. Barnadiston, Colonel Birch, Mr. Serjeant Trenchard, Sir John Brownlow, Mr. Freake, Mr. Baldwyn, and all the Members that serve for the Cinque Ports: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Three of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber; And are impowered to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Prize Salt.

A Bill for the Preservation of French Salt taken as Prize, from Destruction, and employing it for the Victualling of their Majesties Fleet, was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

University Charters.

A Petition of the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Commonalty of the City of Oxford, was offered to the House.

Resolved, That the Petition be now read.

The Petition was read: Whereby they prayed, That they may be heard by their Counsel at the Bar of this House before a Bill, which hath been brought in, and read the First time, for the Confirmation of the Charters, Liberties, and Privileges, of the Two Universities, do pass the House.

Ordered, That the Petitioners be heard at the Bar of this House accordingly, upon the Fifteenth Day of January next: And that the Bill be then read the Second time.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir John Turner have leave to go into the Country for Three Weeks, to his Lady's Funeral.

Punishing Mutiny and Desertion.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee to whom the ingrossed Bill, sent down from the House of Lords, intituled, An Act for punishing Officers or Soldiers who shall mutiny, or desert their Majesties Service, and for punishing false Musters be received on Monday Morning next.

Supply Bill; collecting Revenue.

Then the House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the Bill for the Continuance of the Collection of the Publick Revenue, for a Year, from Christmas next.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Hamden took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Hamden reports from the Committee, That they had gone through the Bill; and had directed him to move the House, that he may make his Report from the Committee on Monday Morning next.

Resolved, That the House will receive the said Report on Monday Morning next, at Ten of the Clock.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

Ordered, That Sir Wm. Williams have Leave to attend the Bar of the House of Lords, as Counsel, in a Cause between Berny and Beake.
