Prayers.

Prideaux's Claim on Lord Jeffries.

A BILL to charge the Leicestershire Estate of the late Lord Jeffries with Fourteen thousand Seven hundred and Sixty Pounds, and Interest, to Mr. Prideaux, was presented to the House; and received.

And the Bill was read the First time.

Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.

Southwark Court of Conscience.

Ordered, That the Bill for erecting a Court of Conscience for Southwark be read To-morrow Morning.

Barret's Estate.

A Bill to enable Dacres Barret, Esquire, to charge the Reversion of Part of his Estate, in England, with One thousand Five hundred Pounds, was presented to the House; and received.

Ordered, That the Bill be read To-morrow Morning.

Tower Hamlets Court of Conscience.

A Bill for the erecting a Court of Conscience for the Tower Hamlets, and Holborne and Finsbury Divisions, was presented to the House; and received.

Ordered, That the Bill be read on Friday Morning next.

Bullion.

A Bill to discourage the Exportation of Bullion, and to encourage the Importation thereof, and converting the same into the Coin of this Realm, was read the Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House.

Resolved, That this House will, upon this Day-sevennight, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of the said Bill.

Christ Church Election.

A Petition of Thomas Hooper, and Thomas Dore, Esquires, was read; setting forth, That the Petitioners were elected Burgesses for the Borough of Christ Church; but, in Wrong to the Petitioners, Wm. Ettrick and Francis Gwyne, Esquires, are returned for the said Borough; notwithstanding the Petitioners had much the Majority of the legal Electors of the said Borough: And praying the Consideration and Relief of the House in the Premises.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Petition be referred to the Committee of Privileges and Elections: Who are to examine the Matter thereof: and report the same, with their Opinions therein, to the House.

Furnishing Seamen.

Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill for the more speedy and effectual furnishing his Majesty's Navy, in time of War, with Seamen; and for Pressing of Seamen.

And it is referred to Sir Rob. Howard, Sir Rich. Onslow, Mr. Attorney General, Sir Tho. Clarges, Mr. Solicitor General, Sir Rob. Holmes, Captain Pitts, Sir John Chichley, Sir John Guise, Colonel Birch, Sir Tho. Lee, Mr. Foot Onslow, Mr. Russell, or any Three of them, to prepare and bring in the same.

Ways and Means.

Then the House resolved itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider of Ways and Means for the raising the Supplies to be granted to their Majesties.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor General took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Solicitor General reports from the said Committee, That they had made some Progress in the Matter to them referred; and had directed him to move the House, That they may have Leave to sit again To-morrow Morning.

Resolved, That this House will, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of Ways and Means of raising the Supplies to be granted to their Majesties.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Nine of the Clock.
