Prayers.

His Majesty's Answer on receiving the Declaration.

MR. Speaker reports, that what his Majesty was pleased to speak on Wednesday last to both Houses, when they had presented to Him and the Queen their Declaration in the Banqueting House, was to the Effect, and, as near as he could collect, in the Words following:

THIS is certainly the greatest Proof of the Trust you have in Us that can be given; which is the Thing that maketh Us value it the more, and we thankfully accept what you have offered to Us.

And, as I had no other Intention in coming hither, than to preserve your Religion, Laws, and Liberties, so you may be sure, that I shall endeavour to support them; and shall be willing to concur in any thing that shall be for the Good of the Kingdom; and to do all that is in My Power to advance the Welfare and Glory of the Nation.

And that thereupon the Lords and Commons went immediately to proclaim the King and Queen.

Address of Thanks.

Resolved, That the humble Thanks of this House be returned to the King and Queen, by such Members of this House as are of the Privy Council, for their Majesties gracious Answer, on Wednesday, to both Houses, upon presenting the Declaration to their Majesties by both Houses.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Sir John Doyley and Sir Wm. Morley have Leave to go into the Country for their Healths.

Adjournment.

Mr. Hamden, One of his Majesty's Privy Council, acquaints the House from his Majesty, That it was his Majesty's Desire, that this House would adjourn until Monday next.

Resolved, That this House will adjourn until Monday next.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be adjourned.

And then the House adjourned till Monday Morning, Nine a Clock.
