Sir Edwyn Sandys reporteth the Proceeding of the great Committee. - That an Offer should be made of 2 d. in the Pound, all over the Land. The Proportion for Burgage, &c. referred to further Consideration. -

Agreed to offer 180,000 l. upon a peremptory Resolution, no Penny to be offered more.

Mr. Hoskins: - To confer with the Country. Without Reference to the Country: - without Reference to the major Part, that are absent. -

We are declaimed against in both Universities; in Pulpits. - The Groans of the People a greater Accusation.

Sir Geo. Moore: - Then his Majesty at Liberty to seek some other Means for his Support. - 100,000l. upon Land, the rest by some other Course. Mr. Tey - Against Purveyance.

Mr. Fuller : - Not to leave an Election of 2 d. for 180,000l.

Mr. Noy: - For Assurance first. - To talk with our Country.

Sir Herbert Crofts. - 2d. a Plot for the Levy, easier than an Offer.
