Union with Scotland.

Sir John Crook, Sir John Tyndall, bring a Message from the Lords, to let this House understand, they have entered into Consideration of the Time hath been sent [b] the great Matter of Union: That great Travel hath been taken, touching hostile Laws, and Commerce : Great Difficulties in the Matter of Commerce. That, seeing the Feast of Christenmas doth necessarily require a Recess of this Session ; that, since so great Travel hath been spent in these Two ; that, for the better Speed of this Business, their Lordships do propound, that they might have a Conference with this House, since they are not like to have any Conclusion; so soon as may be, touching the Two first, sithence there is not like to be any Conclusion.

Answ. That we will send by Messengers of our own.

Answ. by Sir Edw. Hobby; that we have appointed the Merchants to attend

To-morrow ; and that we will be ready upon Saturday.

Sir Edw. Hobby returneth the Lords Answer : With the same Committee the Lords will attend us.

Sir Henry Poole reporteth the Bill of Mr. D. Baro: Moveth, a Proviso in the Bill, that he shall not be of the Parliament. -

Seizure of Sheep, by the Scotch.

Mr. Berwicke, of Carlisle, published to the House, that his Majesty hath taken Knowlege of the Wrong done by the Scotts, in Seizing of Sheep of the English, the last Day complained of ; and said, that his Majesty had that Morning sent him a Privy Seal, directed to the Lord Treasurer of Scotland, for Restitution of the Value of the Sheep.
