Treasurer Danby's approval of a form of a warrant
for an Exchequer acquittance to be given to the
Irish Revenue Farmers for 30,000l. being the residue
of the 60,000l. advance money (which is now fully
paid) as if the same were actually paid into the
Exchequer in Ireland in the same manner as
the former acquits or acquittances were given for the
first 30,000l. : and that the clause in the said
Farmers' lease for payment of their moneys into
the Exchequer every ten days be no further observed,
but that such payments do from henceforth cease :
also for a proclamation to issue for superseding and
vacating the Commission of Dec. 10 last to Sir Cha.
Meredith et al for managing the Irish revenue (which
Commission is in reality actually superseded
upon the perfecting and sight of the patent mentioned
therein) the said Commissioners and all
other receivers, etc., remaining answerable to said
Farmers for their receipts ; but command to be
given by proclamation or otherwise for the said Chief
Commissioners and all officers under them to continue
in their several employments till they shall be
removed by said Farmers, and in the meantime to
follow the instructions of said Farmers. Such
commissions, powers and authorities to be given
to said Farmers and their agents as they shall
desire for carrying on the service.

(at the nomination of and in trust for Robert Colepepyr)
of the two several rent charges of 30l. per an.
each issuing out of the manors of Bedgbury, Goudhurst,
Ford and Maytham and other lands and
hereditaments, co. Kent, and all arrears thereof
and all the Crown's interest therein, and all the
benefit and advantage of recovery theref by distress
nomine poenae, viz., for all the interest and period
the Crown has therein by attainder as follows :
the said Robert Colepepyr having represented
in a petition to the king that Roger and James
Colepepyr, two of his uncles, were heretofore
estated in the said rent charges, and that for the
advancement of their fortunes travelling into
Holland, they were there preferred to be captains of
foot, and served in that capacity for many years,
and during all the late war between England and
Holland, without returning into England as they
ought to have done in obedience to an Act of
Parliament of 17 Car. II., whereby they became
attainted of treason and have forfeited said rent
charges : but representing further that said uncles
were ignorant of said Act, and were never concerned
in any sea service or engagement by land against
our forces : and further that petitioner's ancestors
and relations suffered for the king and his father
during the late [Civil] war, whereby petitioner's
family is near ruined and his estate impoverished.

Report to the king from Treasurer Danby on the
petition from Roger, Earl of Orrery, said petition
praying that the 8000l. (granted for his surrender
of his patent of President of Munster, and payable
by 838l. 14s. 0d. per an.) may be paid by the Irish
Revenue Farmers in the last year of their farm.
On said petition the Earl of Essex, Lord Lieutenant,
reports that (after cessation of the Duke of
Ormonde's temporary payment of 5,000l. per an.
to be satisfied out of the quit rents assigned for
satisfaction of what is due to him) the 6,000l. to Col.
Lane's daughters, 8,888l. to Lawrence Hyde, 3,000l.
to Sir Timothy Tyrrell and 8,000l. to petitioner are to
be paid successively out of those quit rents : but
because a failure may happen (the Duke's debt
not being adjusted) the Lord Lieutenant conceives
that what shall be unpaid to the petitioner by
this fund (if but a little sum) be paid out of the
last monthly 20,000l. to be due from the new
Farmers [of the revenue of Ireland], or (if a great
sum) out of their last three monthly payments.
To said report Treasurer Danby hereby agrees,
with the addition that the said payments be inserted
on the present and future establishments of Ireland.

Royal warrant as follows to John, Lord Vaughan,
Governor of Jamaica, his agents or attorneys,
and to the Paymaster of the Forces. By commission
dated 1663-4, Feb. 15, Sir Thomas
Modyford, bart., was constituted Governor of
Jamaica with 1,000l. per an. salary, and 600l. per an.
to the Lieutenant-Governor, Said Modyford's powers
being afterwards revoked, Sir Thomas Lynch, Kt.,
one of the Gentlemen of the King's Privy Chamber,
was by a great seal dated 1670-1, Jan. 5, invested
with the said powers "and further it was our will
and pleasure to constitute and make the said Sir
Thomas Lynch our Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief
of the said Island by a commission
under our signet, granting him such powers,
advantages and salaries as belonged to the same."
Said Lynch has for 4 years faithfully served as
Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief, but
has not received the said salary of 600l. per an.
or any part thereof. By the establishment dated
1674, Dec. 4, [see Cal. Treasury Books IV. p. 575]
the sum of 2,500l. per an. is ordered and established
for the Governor, Lieutenant-Governor,
forts and Major-General of said island. Since the
said establishment there has not been any such
Major-General. It is therefore hereby ordered
that the 300l. per an. established as above for
said Major-General as part of said 2,500l. per an.
from Lady day, 1674, be paid by said Lord Vaughan
to said Lynch, and to continue such payment for
the future during pleasure.

effect that concerning reprisals due to petitioner
for lands decreed from him by the Court of Claims,
when a survey is made his deficiencies may be placed
on some part of them ; as to the barrenness of the
lands the king may abate part of the quit rents
when the commission for abating quit rents upon such
lands shall be executed : that his pension of 600l.
per an. has been unpaid since 1669 ; that for
discharge of the 700l. (7,000l.) remaining upon
his account as Vice Treasurer of Ireland, he has
paid 2,000l. to the Earl of Carlingford, 1,250l. to Sir
Geo. Carteret, 200l. to the Countess of Portland

paid to Mr. James Hamilton : as to these payments
the Lord Lieutenant is of opinion that though they

found that Samuel Trulove, late of Stebunheath
alais Stepney, mariner, deceased, an alien born,
was possessed of the residue of several terms in the
abovesaid premises, "besides those which in
several inquisitions alsoe remaining of record in our
said High Court of Chancery taken and returned
by virtue of a former commission under the great
seal of England were specified and contained."

Report to the King from Treasurer Danby on the
petition of Dame Philadelphia Clerk, relict of Sir
John Clerk, kt. and bart., as by the order of
reference of the 11th inst. thereon. I find by
certificate by Thomas Watkins, a clerk of the
Privy Seal, and the copies of several docquets by
him transmitted to me, that about July, 1660,
your Majesty made said Clerk a baronet and about
the same time granted a warrant for discharge
of his baronet fee. Petitioner alleges that Sir John
trusted to his solicitor to prosecute the said
discharge and believed the same to be perfected,
nevertheless the said debt still remains charged
on her estate. If the fee is to be discharged as
intended it is proper to be done by a privy seal
directing tallies to be levied at the Exchequer
in the usual form.
