[Write] to the Commissioners of the Navy to certify how much of the 200,000l. voted the last year for extra repairs hath been applied to that service.
[My Lords direct] 20,000l. [in] Land Tax tallies anno 1718 to be made out with interest at 3 per cent. to be issued to Mr. Aislabie, Treasurer of the Navy, to redeem the like sum in Land Tax tallies anno 1717 at 4 per cent. interest: [the said 3 per cent. interest on the said new tallies] to commence from the day of the date of the tallies.
Mr. Aislabie will send a memorial with the several particulars of his demand to-morrow. Treasury Minute Book XXIII, p. 183.

[My Lords read a] memorial of Sir Mathew Decker proposing to deliver bills of exchange for 200m. [200 thousand florins] and to lend the same at 2½ per cent. on [security of the] Land Tax anno 1718. The money for the Emperor is to be paid to his Minister here.
[My Lords read a] letter from Lord Sunderland for the usual allowance of the hogshead of wine to be imported, Customs free, for the Resident of the Czar of Muscovy. The Commissioners of the Customs to give directions for allowances of this kind themselves without directions from this [Treasury] Board.
[My Lords read a] letter from several merchants, owners of sundry Canada [Expedition] bills. Referred to Lord Carnarvon and my Lords desire his answer as soon as possible.
[My Lords read the] report from the Master and Comptroller of the Mint upon the Representation of the Agents for [the King's] tin. When the directions mentioned are complied with and when by the account it appears to my Lords what more moneys will be necessary they will give orders accordingly.
[My Lords examine] Lord Chetwynd's bill for keeping the Mall in St. James's Park. See if this bill agrees with the last.
[My Lords read a] letter from one of the Barons of the Exchequer in Scotland about the 10,000l. issued to the Duke of Argyll in 1715 by his Majesty's warrant. Mr. Sloper to exchange 10,000l. out of Four per cent. Annuities [in his hands] into money. Prepare a sign manual [for him] to pay the same over to the Commissioners of Excise in Scotland to replace the like sum paid to the Duke of Argyll by him pursuant to a warrant in that behalf: and care is to be taken in the said sign manual that the Duke of Argyll is to be charged with [same in order to his rendering] an account of the expenditure of the same. My Lords have resolved to cause the houses in the Savoy to be repaired out of the money in the Exchequer arisen by that revenue and not to grant a lease or leases of any of the said houses to any person whatsoever till they are so repaired.

[Write to] Mr. Cracherode to attend when the Attorney General is here about the prosecution of the persons concerned in the frauds in Chelsea Hospital.
[Write] to Lord Lincoln [the Paymaster General of the Forces] to acquaint the Commissioners of Excise in Scotland that the like sum of 10,000l. which was advanced by them to the Duke of Argyll is now in his [the said Paymaster's] hands to be refunded to them to make good their account, upon their delivering to his Lordship the Duke's note to [enable the said Paymaster in his own accounts to] charge his Grace with the said sum.
