June 5.	Present: Mr. Walpole, Sir William St. Quintin, Mr. Methuen. Write to the Secretary at War to send a letter of revocation to Mr. Burroughs, the Commissary of Stores in Great Britain. Ibid., p. 276.
Eodem die, afternoon.	Present: ut supra. Upon reading the draft of a privy seal relating to the account of the Earl of Carnarvon for the Flanders Forces for the year ended 22 Dec. 1710 my Lords are of opinion that the articles relating to [exchange] profit made by the remittances for [during] 5½ years till that time and the losses allowable for the same be omitted [from the account]: nevertheless with an intention that a particular account of the said profit and loss be made up and adjusted by the Auditors and that a distinct [separate] privy seal be prepared by the Auditors thereupon. [My Lords direct an] issue of 1,300l. to the Stables to Midsummer [? coming]. [Write] Mr. Hewett to be here on Friday morning. Ibid.

June 8.	Present ut supra. [My Lords order] a letter of revocation to be sent to the Deputy Paymaster [of the Forces] in Scotland. [My Lords order] Mr. Hewett to get an account from the Navy Commissioners how the money arising by the fell[ing] of timber made yearly for the Navy is applied. Ibid., p. 278.
June 11.	Present: Mr. Walpole, Sir William St. Quintin, Mr. Methuen. Prepare a warrant for John Forbes, Esq., to be [a] Commissioner for Stating the Equivalent due to Scotland in the room of Patrick Haldane, Esq. Issue 10,000l. to Mr. Henning for the Privy Purse. [My Lords order the] Earl of Lincoln [Paymaster of the Forces] to dispose of so many tallies and orders on the Land Tax anno 1716 remaining in his hands without interest as amount to 35,922l. 12s. 8¼d. Upon his transmitting hither the orders my Lords will [endorse an interest clause thereon or will] sign warrants to the Exchequer for allowing interest thereupon after the rate of 4 per cent. per an., to commence from the day he shall dispose of the same. June 12.	Present: Mr. Walpole, Sir William St. Quintin, Mr. Methuen, Mr. Newport. My Lords give Mr. Bacon, one of the Commissioners for Licensing Hawkers and Pedlars, leave to be absent for three months upon account of his health, he taking care that the Office be supplied in his absence. June 14.	Present: ut supra. My Lords order the Treasurer of the Navy to sell all the South Sea Stock in his hands and to charge himself with the [any] overplus above par; and out of the money arising by the said sale to pay to the two Courses of the Navy and Victualling so much as is due to them for the two months of October and November 1715; and 13,876l. towards paying the Yards in part of 96,436l. demanded for Midsummer and Michaelmas quarters 1715. Send to the Clerks of the Privy Seal to express in all the docquets which they send to my Lords to be signed [the names of the officials] by whom the warrants upon which those docquets are drawn are countersigned. Prepare a letter to the Customs Commissioners to order John Higgins to be instructed for the place of a landwaiter upon the Keys [quays]. [My Lords order the] Earl of Lincoln [Paymaster of the Forces] to borrow 10,364l. 18s. 4d. at 4 per cent. upon Land Tax tallies anno 1716 [standing] in his name. Ibid., p. 281.
June 20.	Present: ut supra. [Write the] Agents for Taxes to be here to-morrow morning with a list of the Receivers [General of Taxes for the various counties and places] and [a state of the forwardness or otherwise of] their payments. Ibid., p. 282.
June 22.	Present: ut supra. [My Lords order the] Earl of Lincoln to dispose of so many Land Tax tallies [and orders] on the Land Tax anno 1716 remaining in his hands without interest as amount to 92,327l. 5s. 4¼d. Upon his transmitting the orders hither [to the Treasury] my Lords will [endorse them with an interest clause or will] sign warrants to the Exchequer for allowing interest thereupon after the rate of 4 per cent. per an. to commence from the 25th June 1716. Memorandum. His Majesty by a commission under the great seal dated the 25th June 1716 did determine the commission dated 11 Oct. 1715 whereby Robert Walpole, Esq.; Sir William St. Quintin; Paul Methuen; Daniel, Lord Finch; and Thomas Newport, Esq., were made Commissioners for executing the office of Treasurer of the Exchequer and appoints the said Robert Walpole, Sir William St. Quintin, Paul Methuen, Thomas Newport, now Lord Torrington, with Richard Edgecombe, Esq., to be Commissioners for executing the said office.



June 26. Treasury Chambers, Whitehall.	Present: Mr. Walpole, Sir William St. Quintin, Mr. Edgcumbe. Prepare a warrant for paying 1,000l. to the Lord Chancellor for his equipage and other charges as Lord High Steward upon the late trials before the House of Peers on impeachments for high treason. Likewise for allowing 400l. per an. to Stephen Poyntz from Lady day 1716 during pleasure. [My Lords order] the Earl of Clarendon to have leave to raise 3,000l. on his pension [payable] in Ireland, notwithstanding the restraining clause in his grant. [My Lords order] the respit [to be] removed on the Receivership for the Land Tax of Cheshire, and Mr. Cobb [is] to be appointed Receiver thereof upon the recommendation of Lord Parker. June 29.	Present: ut supra. Prepare a warrant for 500l. to Sir James Stewart in consideration of his service and attendance on sundry affairs by his Majesty's command. [My Lords order] 1,000l. per an. to be added to the Establishment of the Robes: to commence from this time: to be apportioned as Lord Cadogan shall direct [as] in lieu of all fees &c.
