Auditors' Memorandum.—The said Surplusage of 70,933l. 7s.d. (whereof 67,669l. 8s.d. relates to the Wardrobe before 1 Aug. 1714 and the remainder, 3,263l. 18s. 5d., hath arisen since that time) is occasioned by allowing the whole annual expense of the Office, according to the ancient method, but it does not appear what remains unpaid, vouchers not having been produced to the Auditors.
