Royal warrant for a privy seal to appoint Sir Robert Atkins
Receiver General of the Impositions upon law proceedings
granted by the late Act of Parliament with the fee of 6d. in

for such sums as they shall think fit for such purposes. (Privy

Navy on the first quarter of the Subsidy which is the sum set
down for them [the Navy] in the project on that quarter for
this year's expense which his Majesty has commanded to be
forthwith despatched. Also Sir Robert Long, finding no clear
provisions to be made in the bill for an Imposition on Law
Proceedings for the collecting of several of those impositions,
I have drawn the enclosed warrant with Sir R. Long's assistance. It is signed by His Majesty and the Treasurer of the
Household and requires another hand to countersign it. I also
enclose a warrant for taking Mr. Lewen's security. In view
of the need of haste and seeing he told me you commanded him
to follow you as to-day I have delivered him his commissions
as both Receiver and Solicitor before the passing of his
security. There are some other warrants of smaller concern
which you may sign as you think fit. Let me have these papers
back by the first post. Both the King and the Duke were this
afternoon at the Treasury Chambers about more money for the
Navy, and the Navy Commissioners are ordered to bring a
particular of what moneys they would have for this year's
expense: the consequence whereof your Lordship will easily
conjecture. |

Same to Sir R. Long. At the command of the Treasurer of the

Also it is His Majesty's pleasure that the farm rent of Yorkshire be made 800l. per an. less than now it stands in the
