Letter of direction for 25,000l. to James Brydges, Paymaster of the Forces Abroad: out of Contributions in the Exchequer on the Lottery anno 1712: and is intended to be paid over to James Milner to complete 50,000l. for the value of his bills payable in Antwerp, whereof the bills for this 25,000l. are at 30 days at 10 guilders 10 stivers current money of Brabant per pound sterling, agio at 8⅓ per cent.: and is to be in further part of 1,324,728l. 18s. 7d. for the [British] Forces in Flanders anno 1712. Same to the Attorney General to report on the enclosed memorial [missing] from the Revenue Commissioners, Ireland, shewing that the charges which have been borne out of the revenue of Ireland in recovering forfeitures left unsold by the Parliament's Commissioners for sale thereof have exceeded the sums recovered from such prosecutions by 3,030l. 16s. 7¼d.; and proposing that a sum of 2,126l. 6s. 2d. now remaining in the hands of the Vice Treasurer of Ireland (as part of the sum paid by Lord Bophin for redemption of his forfeited estate) may be paid to them towards making good the said 3,030l. 16s. 7¼d. |
