Wilcox, Surveyor General of Woods Trent South, to divide into 16
parts the 11,000 acres formerly enclosed in the Forest of Dean in
accordance with the Act of Parliament of 20 Car. II, c. 3 [19-20
Car. II, c. 8] for the preservation of timber within the said Forest :
and to cut one of the said 16 parts yearly from date hereof except
the oaks and standards of beech where no oaks are being left : and

Treasury reference to the Navy Commissioners of the petition of
Thomas Cole and William Heath shewing that John Winter, being
one that usually undertook the building of ships for her Majesty, did
on the 14th Aug. 1704 contract with the Navy Commissioners to
rebuild the Defyance and thereupon had bills of imprest for 3000l.
on signing the contract and several other sums at several times
afterwards, which bills Winter sold (as is usual in the like cases), one
of which No. 11 for 1000l. was bought by the petitioner Cole and 2
others Nos. 14 and 15 for 500l. each by petitioner Heath "and paid
the full value thereof" : that the said bills coming in course of payment
they applied for their money to the Navy Commissioners who
refuse payment without the Lord Treasurer's direction "alleging
the said Winter has not performed his contract and is failed."

Clerk of the Pipe for a lease to Charles, Earl of Arran of the custody
of Bagshot Park with a lodge there and likewise the laundry, coney
warren and warren house and of all the woods in the said park and
the office of Ranger or Keeper of the same : for 99 years terminable
on 3 lives : all on surrender of the lease in being which was granted
under a royal warrant of 1704 Dec. 4 to Richard, Earl of Ranelagh,
whose interest the said Earl of Arran has purchased.
Appending : ratal by the Surveyor General of Crown Lands of a

Treasury reference to the Postmasters General of the petition of
Dame Frances, widow of Sir Peter Killegrew, shewing that for 17
years past the Agent and Manager of the pacquet boats from
Falmouth to Spain and Portugal has constantly resided in Falmouth
and arranged the business of said pacquets ; that Samuel Trefusis
by his interest with the Postmasters [General] has obtained the
removal of the late Agent and got put in his stead Mr. Rogers with
design and agreement that he shall go from Falmouth over the water
upon the land of the said Trefusis and there build an house for his
dwelling in a place called Flushing "such in comparison to Falmouth
as Lambeth is to London" : therefore praying that the Agent of
the said pacquet boats be enjoined not to remove his residence from
Falmouth where the said concern hath been managed for so many
years, nor to make any alteration till the Postmasters [General]
shall give the Lord Treasurer satisfactory reasons for "their" so

Report dated Whitehall to Treasurer Godolphin from William
Blathwayt as Auditor General of the Plantations on the petition
of John Wilshire of Barbados, praying a grant of the office of Receiver
of her Majesty's Casual Revenue in that island loco Charles Thomas,
lately deceased. I have informed myself of the petitioner's condition
and circumstances and am well assured that he is a person of a good
estate and well versed in accounts. He is ready to give good security
in 4000l. one moiety here and the rest in Barbados. The revenue
amounts to about 400l. per an. communibus annis. [See supra
