Royal warrant, dated Kensington, to the Earl of Ranelagh
late Paymaster General of the Forces to make out debentures for
payment of three articles amounting to 994l. 4s. 7d. as
petitioned for in the demand of Robert Livingston : he having
petitioned setting forth that he is entitled by warrant and
commission from Wm. III to several sums out of the revenue of
the Province of New York amounting to 2016l. 4s. 7d. sterling, but
that for want of due payment of the Forces in that Province the
revenue which was intended for petitioner's satisfaction was applied
to defray the Contingent charges of the said Forces and Fortifications :
but that by a clause of an Act of the last Session [2 and 3
Anne c. 17 for punishing mutiny § 56-7] the payment of the arrears
due to the said Forces was authorised to be made and thereafter the

the late Commissioners of the Accounts [Debts] of the Army &c. have
certified 533l. 10s. 1¼d. to the several Officers directed to be satisfied
out of the same and for which the debentures are issuing to them
accordingly ; thus leaving 2457l. 14s. 0½d. surplus of said 30 per
