Cuningham coming out of Ireland to be replaced on the Military
Establishment of Ireland by three other Regiments of Foot and two
Troops of Dragoons to be raised in their stead : but the raising of
the same is to be hereby so long deferred that the intermediate pay
which shall be saved on the Establishment shall cover any extraordinary
charge on account of levy money and such levy money
is hereby authorised at not exceeding 3l. per private foot soldiers
and 12l. per Dragoon : and by royal commission dated Oct. 11 last
and Jan. 14 last the raising and pay of a Regiment of Horse were
authorised, the pay of which for the period Oct. 11 to Feb. 29 last
would have amounted to 4478l. 1s. 8d. but of that amount only
1783l. 17s. 6d. has [accrued and] been paid for the pay of a certain
number of Officers, private men and horses : the payment of the
said 1783l. 17s. 6d. is hereby authorised and the further regular
payment of the said Officers and soldiers of the said Regiment of
Horse is to be placed on the Establishment of Ireland from March
1 next at the like allowances and as in place of the Regiment of
Horse under Brigadier [Daniel] Harvey which was lately sent to

Thomas Frankland, Postmasters General, for a new Establishment
for the Post Office in Ireland as follows : the Deputy Postmaster
of Ireland having inspected the branch of the revenue arising from
the Post Office of that kingdom and the said Postmasters General
having accordingly by their memorial of Nov. 10 last represented
that it will be for her Majesty's service and will remedy several
inconveniences that have for the time past attended the management
of that revenue if the present Establishment thereof were altered
and a new Establishment thereof made "and the same put under
the particular methods following" viz. (1) that the letters of the
said kingdom be sorted into three roads and be despatched by
two clerks, two sorters and a window man : (2) that the Clerk of
the Roads may have nothing to do with the receipt of money or the
delivery of letters abroad or in the office : (3) that the sorters be
appointed at the salary of 30l. per an. each : (4) that the alphabet
man receive his charge from the clerks and have nothing to do in
taxing and receiving letters : (5) that six letter carriers be appointed
at 8s. per week : (6) that the Deputy Post Master General be allowed
a particular clerk to attend his service at 50l. per an. being necessary
for dispatching all orders from the said Deputy Postmaster : (7)
that a Treasurer be appointed for the better security of what money
shall arise from that branch of the revenue, it not being proper that
the same person who is Deputy Postmaster should be Receiver of
the [Post Office] revenue as has been heretofore : and further they
having proposed a new Establishment of salaries, detailed, for the
said Irish Post Office to a total of 1123l. 16s. 0d. per an.

Mary Boyle, widow of Edward Boyle and the executors of the said
Edward Boyle, late collector of Customs for the district of Baltimore

some Irish Tories and Rapparees who broke open the Customs house.
