Royal warrant, under the Queen's sign manual, to the Attorney or Solicitor General for a great seal to determine and make void the great seal which demised to Charles, Earl of Carlisle, Sir George Fletcher and Thomas Bendlows several manors etc. in cos. Cumberland and Yorks found by several inquisitions to be forfeited by the attainder of Sir Richard Grahme of high treason: and in lieu thereof to grant the premises to said Earl of Carlisle and Sir George Fletcher for 99 years from 1693, Lady day, terminable on the life of said Grahme and subject to the like rents of 500l. per an. for the premises in co. Cumberland and 300l. per an. for the promises in co. Yorks as in the said former great seal. |
