Same to same. It is represented to the King that the bringing of the six Regiments which are ordered from Ireland will be a great obstruction if the money due for their clothing be not satisfied. It is his pleasure therefore that the [paying for the] clothing of the said Regiments should have the priority of payments out of the money applicable to the new clothing of the 12 Regiments that were contracted for in Ireland and that as soon as these Regiments are completed the monthly payments for clothing be applied according to the King's direction in the Treasury Lords' letter of 1693, Dec. [sic for Nov.] 25, supra, p. 402. |
