May 6.	43. Statement of debts due to the King in money and bonds from the several late collectors of the old duty on Scotch salt on the 25th March 1736 with the bonds then due and the number thereof in process. Certified by Chambre Lewis, assistant Comptroller General, Salt office, Edinburgh. 1 page. [Treasury Board Papers CCXCI. No. 40.]
May 13.	44. Treasury warrant to Gilbert Fleming, Receiver of His Majesty's money arising by the sale of lands in St. Christopher, ratifying certificate as below and authorising the entry of memorandums upon every of the said contracts for said small parcels not exceeding 100l. in value that the said contracts for said small parcels are in this manner ratified, confirmed and approved according to His Majesty's pleasure. Prefixing:—A certificate or list of the several persons purchasing or contracting for the small quantities of land, detailed, not exceeding 100l. value each in the Island of St. Christopher, formerly belonging to the French; all as in accordance with the commission of Oct. 12, 5 Geo. The Duke of Newcastle to the Treasury for the issue to the following of various sums, detailed, for their extraordinary expenses in the journey to His Majesty's dominions in Germany and back again, they having been appointed by the King to attend him during his absence from the kingdom for the dispatch of the business of the Secretary of State's office, viz.:—George Tilson and John Couraud, under-secretaries: Joseph Richardson, Edmund Maskelyne, Thomas Ramsden, George Huxley, clerks; and John Phipps, officer keeper. 2pages. May 21.	46. The Duke of Grafton, Lord Chamberlain, to same, dated from St. James's, conveying the King's pleasure for the issue of 300l. as a royal present to Monsieur Thom, Envoy Extraordinary from the Duke of Saxe Gotha, he having had his audience of leave to return home. 1 page. [Ibid. No. 47.]
