Nov. 3. Original Despatch, Venetian Archives. 662. Giovanni Francesco Morosini, Venetian Ambassador in France, to the Signory.
Certain individuals sent by the States of Flanders to the King have arrived here ; they are ordered to give his Majesty an account of the causes which have led the States to take up arms against the Spaniards, and I am told that other envoys have been sent to Rome and to your Serenity for a similar purpose.
