February 1564

Feb. 21. Original Letter Book, Venetian Archives. 355. Marc' Antonio Barbaro, Venetian Ambassador in France, to the Signory.
The Court was to leave Fontainebleau to-morrow, and come to a place near Paris, where the Queen has some gardens; but this departure is postponed, because the two Ambassadors from England [Throckmorton and Smith] have been called to the Court to treat the agreement of peace, for which end some members of this Parliament were also called, but I know not what they had to discuss.
Paris, 21st February 1564.
